Remy and Christina call their friends down to the courthouse for a speedy wedding. Doris performs the service. They sign the license and run off to say goodbye to Ashlee and Daisy. Everyone hugs, Doris cries and Daisy tells Marina she'll have to handle being the only Cooper girl. James and Daisy tell each other that they love each other. She and Ashlee jump in the car and drive off.
Daisy comes back to town and runs into James' arms.
James and Phillip stand on the shore. "I'm going to miss him," James says. They play frisbee and laugh.
Daisy and James meet up. She explains that she was offered a place at Berkley. He tells her to take it and promises to come and visit her.
Daisy and James wake up under a blanket in the field. She gets a text reminding her of Rafe's goodbye party.
At Company, everyone gathers to say goodbye to Rafe. A call comes in. Lillian takes it and walks away in shock. Olivia takes the phone and then announces that Alan died. Everyone is silent. James walks out. Everyone is in shock. Blake can't believe he died when he seemed so good. Rafe wonders if this means he's making a mistake. Buzz tells him that he should still go into the army; it's what his grandfather would have wanted. Emma and Rafe talk about their granddad dying. He takes out his two magical quarters and gives her one. Whenever she gets lonely, she can look at it and think of him because he'll be thinking of her.
Beth and Phillip stand in the garden. She tells him she had a complicated relationship with Alan. She can't imagine the world without him. After she walks away, James wanders over to his father and they embrace.
James and Daisy walk by the road.
James and Daisy have a picnic and he tells her what a cool guy his grandfather is. He thinks his father owes Alan a lot. She wonders if Alan finally did what he was supposed to do.
James stops by outside of Company to see Daisy. They talk about the wedding and he asks her to go with him. Inside, Blake watches Buzz and Lillian kissing before logging on to her internet chat group. She and Frank talk and he asks her if she's busy. She types that she already has plans. "Figures," he groans. The Reardon women drop by Company to pick everyone up, saying under their breath that the place looked better when they ran it.
