As Jeffrey prepares his press statement, Rafe walks in and points his gun at him, vowing that he won't let him do this to hid father.
Rafe sleeps on a bench in the park. Daisy wakes him up and tells him he's late for school. He yawns. She asks him what's wrong. He wonders why his dad visited Alan in a dream and not him. Last night he slept on the floor of the house Gus bought. She wishes she could help him. He walks away. She follows him to the boarding house and hands him a card. It's for a psychic. She suggests that he go and see her so he can talk to Gus.
Rafe goes to visit the psychic. She reads his palm. "I see you've suffered a terrible loss," she says. Laying out the cards, she starts to explain the journey he has to take. He starts to fill in all of the blanks and asks a lot of questions. He starts to think that she's after his money and accuses her of robbing him. As he flies off the handle, she calls the cops. Harley arrives and offers to take care of it. She suggests the psychic not press charges or they'll have to investigate her as well. Rafe storms out and Harley runs after him. Catching up to him, she says that he's not the only person who is missing Gus; they all wish that he was still around. Even she almost went to see the psychic. She tells him that he is as brave as his father. They begin apologizing to each other about everything. He offers her Gus' jacket. It's not her stuff anymore, it never was. "My mother likes to say that he belongs to all of us," he says. "She's a better person than all of us," Harley admits.
Mallet goes to see Rafe on the ball ground. He tells him that Harley took care of the psychic mess for him. They talk about the speech that Mallet is supposed to make while giving out the award. He asks Rafe for some help and suggests that he give the speech. Rafe thanks him. "Never forget this: Gus was a great police officer and he faced temptation everyday," Mallet tells him.
In the police parking lot, Mallet grimaces as he reads a note from Jeffery saying that his office will be continuing to investigate the corruption in the department. Mallet calls Dinah and tells her that he is going to fix this, even if he has to take the heat for what Gus did. Rafe shows up at Dinah's so she hangs up on Mallet. Rafe tells Dinah that he's just checking on the place for his grandpa. She tells him that this is the first house she's ever owned. She didn't get to know her parents until she was about his age and she lost her father recently too. He walks away to school.
Mallet runs into Rafe sitting on the lawn and they go over the park to play catch. Rafe tells him he has a good arm for an old guy. They start talking about Gus' strange throw and the way Gus injured his shoulder on the job. Mallet asks how Alan is doing and Rafe explains Alan's visions and all the cash he discovered. "Where do you think he got all that money?" Mallet asks. Rafe doesn't care. He thanks Mallet for the game and walks away. Mallet takes a deep breath.
Alan wakes from sleep after a disturbing dream. He kicks out, knocking over a portrait of Gus. Rafe comes up after the noise to check on his grandfather. Alan insists he's fine. "What does 512 mean to you?" he asks mysteriously. "That's the number of homeruns Ernie Banks hit," Rafe instantly explains. Alan wants to know more. "What's your 512 gonna be?" is what Gus always used to ask his son when he wondered what good he was going to accomplish in his life. Alan tells him that he had another dream of Gus. He was wearing a Cubs jacket and worried about unfinished business. He kept repeating the number: 512.
Daisy is in the bathroom at home trying to smoke a joint when Rafe interrupts her. She tells him she needs a distraction and asks him to stick around; she's already grounded so she can't get into any more trouble. He needs a favor: He asks her to take him down to the basement to search through Gus' boxes. Doing so, he soon finds the jacket that Alan dreamt of. Reaching into the pockets he discovers an envelope full of cash.
Rafe arrives in Olivia's room. He dumps the cash on her bed. He tells her that the money was Gus' and explains Alan's dream. There are 512 20 dollar bills in the jacket. That money would have stayed hidden if Gus hadn't revealed it to Alan in his dream. It's 10,000 dollars, enough for a downpayment on the house.
Rafe walks into Company for something to eat. He realizes that he doesn't have any money so Buzz offers to let him work it off by helping him select the winner of the Gus Aitoro scholarship. They go through the list when they hear a thud. Hurrying outside, they find that Alan has tumbled down the stairs. Rafe calls 911 and Alan insists to Buzz that he's really okay. "That's great considering," Buzz comments. Alan says he doesn't need an ambulance. They look up and guess that the roof must have hit him. He should be dead. "But I'm not," Alan realizes, highly disoriented.
