What's Done is Done

Monday, July 30 2007

At the mansion, Gus walks away from Natalia to check on Rafe. Alan walks into the room and tells her that Gus always tries to make him the enemy of his relationships. She already knows all the accusations against him and reminds him that Gus loves Harley. Alan tells her that Harley has loved all of his sons and even married them all, but none of the relationships worked. He can see that she has only been in love with one man and that's Gus. He tells her to ask Gus about Harley cheating on him with Mallet. Later, Gus returns, wishing that he could fix things. He can't stop fighting with Harley, how can he expect it his son to?

Back at the mansion, Natalia is about to go out on errands. Alan stops her and tells her that he gets nothing but pleasure from sharing what he has with her and her son. Seeing them all together with Gus, he gets the feeling of family that he has never had and always wanted. He wants to make Gus part of their lives together. She doesn't think he will be able to make Gus do anything he doesn't want to do. Once she is gone, Alan makes a call and tells someone that Natalia will be applying for a job with them, but they can't give her that job: He already has other plans for her. Meanwhile, she has returned to her old apartment to pick up some things, she's surprised to find Gus there. She asks him if he found Harley. When he seems disturbed, he admits that he wanted to attack Dylan again tonight, but he stopped himself. 'What's done is done,' he says. Suddenly. He begins kissing her. She admits that this is what she's wanted since the moment she saw him again, but this isn't real. He obviously just had a bad night and he should go. Instead, they begin to kiss passionately and fall onto the couch.

Three is More Fun

At the mansion, Alan's not thrilled to hear about his sister's new marriage. He calms down as Natalia tells him that she is looking forward to the family dinner they have planned. She thinks he may be stepping over the line, however. She suspects that he is trying to push her and Gus together and shut Harley out. Meanwhile, at home, Gus has just gotten the invitation to dinner at the mansion. When Harley walks through the door he makes it clear that he is only going through with this to help support his son. He needs her to come with him. She has to make a call first. Elsewhere, in Dylan's suite, he and Daisy wait for Harley so they can start their family night together. He drinks and waits for Harley's call. She calls and tells him that they need to compromise tonight.

Gus and Harley arrive at the mansion. She still hasn't told Gus her alternate plans. Alan walks out and welcomes them. Gus hurries in, embracing Natalia and his son while Harley stands apart. Alan begins talking about how he wants to educate Rafe about the finer things in life and proposes bringing the family to the Grand Canyon. When these plans don't include Harley, she becomes agitated and the recent firing of Natalia comes up. Alan blames Daisy and Harley, but Natalia insists that she quit. Gus takes his wife aside when Dylan and Daisy arrive to take her to the restaurant. Gus is confused; he thought she was having dinner with his family tonight. She explains the deal she made with Dylan and Gus assumes that this was all forced by Dylan. He wishes that she would ask him before she made decisions like this. Alan asks them all back in to drink and talk about travel. He offers to have the new guests join them for dinner but Gus becomes angry. He and Harley start to argue. She tells him that she is only doing all of this because she loves him. When Natalia offers to call this dinner off so that he can go, Harley bites at her and Natalia bites back, accusing her of being ridiculous. Before things get much worse, Dylan seems to be having a migraine and Harley suggests that they all leave. Gus refuses to leave.

Daisy and Rafe walk out to the hallway. She tells him that she wanted to see him, even though he's been mad at her. He does get mad at her again within a few moments when she tells him that her mother seemed to be asking to get fired. To her, it starts to sound like only he is allowed to defend his mom. He storms off as Harley walks out with Dylan. Daisy is upset and leaves alone. Soon after, Frank arrives and asks to talk to Gus privately. He says that he's done everything he can to keep him from being suspended or prosecuted for his assault of Dylan, but Gus still has to go to Chicago tonight and report to anger management. After Frank leaves, Alan, referring to Gus' marriage, tells his son that even a broken watch is right twice a day. 'What time is it with Harley?' he asks. In the hallway, Rafe asks his mother if she is okay. She doesn't make plays for married men, she explains, but Gus' marriage is just falling apart. Alan approaches her and suggests that she go to Gus. He watches as she takes his arm. Meanwhile, Harley and Dylan have gone to Towers and she stumbles around after a few drinks. She strokes his face as tells him that she is glad he's there.

Like Looking in the Mirror

Monday, July 23 2007

At the mansion, Gus finds Natalia's Company shirt tossed on the floor. She says that she gave the job up to simplify things. He tells her that he just beat up Dylan for kissing Harley. Natalia is sure that Harley wasn't kissing him back...Gus is less certain. They stand close together and look into each other's eyes for a moment before he awkwardly moves away. He doesn't want to hurt her; he just wanted to talk to someone who would understand his situation. 'If you wanted a life with me you would have come back years ago,' Natalia says. Gus feels like Harley saved him from all of the ugliness in the world... but they fight a lot. Natalia can see that they mean the world to each other and she's sure that Dylan can see that too. 'We may have both been your first loves, you we're not the last,' she assures him. As she walks him out, Rafe returns. When his mother comes back, she tells him that she quit her job: She needed to put space between herself and Gus.

On Main Street, Rafe angrily blames Daisy for getting his mother fired. She insists that she is only trying to make things better for them. Natalia won't even need a job now that she is with the Spauldings. He continues to shake his head; Daisy just sounds like a spoiled rich girl to him. He tells her never to call him again and walks away. She goes home and begins to cry. Harley returns and sits down with her daughter. Daisy says that Rafe broke up with her. Her mother thinks that might be for the best. Daisy suggests that Natalia broke them up and now she is after Gus. Harley starts to worry and wonders how Daisy can know this. Is she just trying to get revenge on Natalia? She insists that that isn't the case but she hinted to Buzz that he should fire her. 'It's like looking in the mirror,' Harley says, shaking her head. She tells her daughter that it will be alright. Later, Gus arrives and Daisy walks away. Harley hugs Gus and tells him she talked Dylan out of filing charges. Taking him in her arms, she kisses him and asks for some makeup sex. As they sit on the couch, she smells cigarettes on him but he explains that he just went to Alan's. He talked to Natalia, he explains, while Harley looks away and anxiously plays with her hair. Hugging her again, he assures her that he and Natalia are only friends now. Meanwhile, at the mansion, Rafe returns. When his mother comes back, she tells him that she quit her job: She needed to put space between herself and Gus.

On Main Street, Billy finds his son. After admiring his son's fresh bruises, Dylan tells him that, at least, he and his daughter may have a better relationship now and a return to his old family is in the works. Billy reminds him that Harley is a married woman and this is a bad idea. Dylan shrugs. Things have changed. Harley and Gus are going to fall apart all by themselves, he concludes. 'What's going to cause this?' Billy asks. As his son motions over, Billy looks and spots Natalia walking by.

Time Out

At the mansion, Natalia is annoyed when Daisy is trying make a deal with her: Rafe for Gus. Natalia says that her dreams are only for her son and they don't include Daisy. Rafe has been listening in and finally pokes his head back into the room. Daisy asks for a few minutes alone with Rafe and Natalia, grudgingly, leaves them alone. Daisy feels like everyone is against her. Natalia obviously hates her. This is yet another in the long line of rejections she's had in her life. She knows that Rafe wants to be with her, but he says that the timing is bad and asks her to go. He doesn't want to mess things up for his mom.

In the hallway, a uniformed Remy runs up to Natalia and tells her that Lizzie has hired him as security. She thinks that he's paranoid; she doesn't need a bodyguard. He offers to keep her company in case she gets bored. Suddenly, Daisy runs past them with Rafe trailing behind. He stops to ask why Remy is there with her. He's annoyed that he has to break things off with Daisy when she is still running around with Remy. She can ask anybody, but Remy is ten times worse than Daisy is. He won't take orders from either of them, he declares as he walks out. Daisy goes over to Company to talk to her grandfather. She tells him that she could deal with all of the chaos and complications if she didn't have to deal with Natalia. She is a selfish person; she has broken her and Rafe up and won't stop until she breaks up Gus and Harley. Later, Natalia arrives with Remy. She's late for her shift. Buzz tells her that, although she's been a fantastic waitress, there have been a lot of problems between her and his family and... before he can finish, she quits. Outside, Rafe calls Daisy and arranges to meet her. They meet on Main Street moments later. Remy arrives to interrupt and accuses Daisy of costing Natalia her job. After he smiles smugly, he walks away leaving them to sort it out.
