At Towers, Gus finds Natalia. They start to talk over what happened. She suggests that there are plenty of people to blame for what's been going on. He feels like he needs to take responsibility and asks her about where Harley and Dylan might be. She doesn't know where she is, but she knows why she left. 'Harley knows that we slept together,' she tells him. They go outside and she nervously explains what happened while he was away. She is sure that if Harley loves him, she will forgive him. He's sorry that he pulled her into this and he won't let anything happen to her, no matter what happens between he and Harley.
When Natalia returns to the mansion, Alan tells her that he is looking for an assistant, someone to pass on his knowledge to. She thinks that he should hire one of his children or grandchildren. He will, when they're old enough, but he sees grit and determination in her and... before he can go any further, Remy bursts in and drags her out. After this, Alan goes to Harley's and offers Gus his help. He thinks that his son should wake up and leave the melodrama with Harley behind. Gus is still determined to find his wife. Alan leaves, reminding him not to throw his last chance with Natalia away, particularly when Harley may be caught up living her own fantasy with Dylan.
At the mansion, Natalia cries and apologizes for being unable to turn Gus away when he came to her. Harley is shocked that Gus actually slept with her. Does this mean that Natalia is going to start fighting for him now? She would never go after a married man; it's against everything she believes in. 'But Gus was yours first so you decided this would be an exception?' Harley angrily asks. She doesn't believe that any of this was a mistake. She is sure that Natalia came to Springfield with a plan. Natalia swears that she didn't, but she admits that she had thoughts of Gus being a father to Rafe. She tried to put all of that aside when she found out about Harley. Although she apologizes profusely, she reminds Harley that this was not all her fault. 'You're right about that,' Harley says. When Natalia brings up what's going on between her and Dylan, Harley grabs her by the shoulders and starts to shout that she has no right to bring that into this. 'That man [Gus] is everything to me! He is my heart and soul...he would always be faithful to me,' Harley cries. Natalia tells her that Gus said what he did with her was a huge mistake. The only thing that he could think of is how hurt she would be. Harley feels like she's lost something she'll never get back: Trust. Natalia tells her to go to Gus and give him a chance to explain; he really loves her. Harley doesn't want to hear this from her; she need to hate her, not have her being nice.
Left alone, Natalia sits in the dark until Rafe arrives and turns the light on. Seeing how upset she is, he asks her what's wrong. She takes her son for a walk and shows him a picture of Gus. He was her first love; that's why she's been so strict about he and Daisy; she knows how intense first love can be. He tells her that she deserves more than just him in her life; if Gus is what she wants, she should go for it.
At the mansion, Rafe wants to see his father. Natalia tells him that she and his father had a bit of a disagreement and he needs to spend time with his other family. Alan walks into the conversation. He asks her why, if what she said is true, Gus left town alone and Harley is glued to Dylan's side. As his father, he's worried and wants to know where Gus has gone. Rafe tells him to back off and leaves to visit Daisy. Alan is surprised that Natalia will let him go off with a Cooper, they 'do whatever they want and blame it on us'. She doesn't want to talk about Harley and the Coopers, but Alan reminds her that she is already the other woman.
At home, Harley searches around for clues when Alan wanders in. She asks him where Gus is. He tells her that Gus is very upset with her and has turned to someone else: Natalia. She's surprised by his strategy; he used to be more subtle when he wanted to manipulate her. 'I'm older now. I don't waste time,' he quips. He lists all of the offenses she's made against Gus, kicking his son out, cuddling up with Dylan etc.. She keeps telling him that she and Gus are committed to each other. 'Don't say I didn't warn you,' he states as he walks away. Harley heads over to the mansion to talk to Natalia. She didn't come to fight, she just wants Natalia's help. Alan is trying to turn them all against each other and break up her marriage, she explains. They need to be strong and not give in to him. Alan has already made it sound like they slept together, but Harley doesn't belie that Gus would ever do that. Natalia is silent at the suggestion and looks away. Harley quickly realizes that Alan was right.
Gus' phone vibrates as he and Natalia begin making love on her couch. Although she hates to admit it, this is what she really wanted. It makes her feel like they're young again. As she recalls their time together as teenagers, he stares off and holds her hand. 'I hate that we ended...but now I know that we never really did,' she says, kissing him again. 'This can never happen again, ' he tells her. As they dress, he tells her that he was angry and they shouldn't have done this. She isn't sorry and refuses to believe that he is either. 'I'm not the guy that does this,' he says. Now, nothing can be the way it was. As he tries to forgive Harley for what he believes she's done, Natalia can see that he'll never be able to. He needs to leave and tell his wife everything. Later, Remy arrives and she tells him what happened. He's sure that she is going to be hurt because Gus will never leave his wife. She isn't trying to steal Gus away, but he is the love of her life.
At the mansion, Gus walks away from Natalia to check on Rafe. Alan walks into the room and tells her that Gus always tries to make him the enemy of his relationships. She already knows all the accusations against him and reminds him that Gus loves Harley. Alan tells her that Harley has loved all of his sons and even married them all, but none of the relationships worked. He can see that she has only been in love with one man and that's Gus. He tells her to ask Gus about Harley cheating on him with Mallet. Later, Gus returns, wishing that he could fix things. He can't stop fighting with Harley, how can he expect it his son to?
Back at the mansion, Natalia is about to go out on errands. Alan stops her and tells her that he gets nothing but pleasure from sharing what he has with her and her son. Seeing them all together with Gus, he gets the feeling of family that he has never had and always wanted. He wants to make Gus part of their lives together. She doesn't think he will be able to make Gus do anything he doesn't want to do. Once she is gone, Alan makes a call and tells someone that Natalia will be applying for a job with them, but they can't give her that job: He already has other plans for her. Meanwhile, she has returned to her old apartment to pick up some things, she's surprised to find Gus there. She asks him if he found Harley. When he seems disturbed, he admits that he wanted to attack Dylan again tonight, but he stopped himself. 'What's done is done,' he says. Suddenly. He begins kissing her. She admits that this is what she's wanted since the moment she saw him again, but this isn't real. He obviously just had a bad night and he should go. Instead, they begin to kiss passionately and fall onto the couch.
At the mansion, Alan's not thrilled to hear about his sister's new marriage. He calms down as Natalia tells him that she is looking forward to the family dinner they have planned. She thinks he may be stepping over the line, however. She suspects that he is trying to push her and Gus together and shut Harley out. Meanwhile, at home, Gus has just gotten the invitation to dinner at the mansion. When Harley walks through the door he makes it clear that he is only going through with this to help support his son. He needs her to come with him. She has to make a call first. Elsewhere, in Dylan's suite, he and Daisy wait for Harley so they can start their family night together. He drinks and waits for Harley's call. She calls and tells him that they need to compromise tonight.
