Natalia arrives in Olivia's room at The Beacon. She sees all of her pills on the floor and assumes that something is wrong.
Jeffrey meets with Natalia in Olivia's room. He feels bad that she is having to deal with all of Olivia's problems. She begins calling around to check on Emma. They track Olivia and Emma down at the courthouse. Olivia watches as her daughter visits the court on a school trip. Natalia helps her up and takes her home.
When Olivia and Natalia arrive at home, Emma hurries to her mother's arms and Olivia can't stifle a smile. The phone rings and Natalia answers. It's Frank. Natalia assumes he wants to talk to Olivia and hands her the phone, but he only wants to talk to Nat. Smiling, Olivia tells her that he's a good guy and she should be living her own life. Natalia smiles and leaves to see him. Once she's gone, Olivia takes out a photo of Gus and stares at it.
At Company, Natalia drinks tea and looks at a picture of Gus. "Nicky, I need you here," she says. Meanwhile, Alan is on the phone with Beth and furious that she let Lizzie run off. Later, he gives Rafe the watch he once offered Gus. Rafe thinks that he should pawn it and pay his bills, but Alan thinks that he should have a piece of family history. Rafe thanks him and Alan suggests that he can get him an internship at Spaulding after he graduates. He asks him to spy on Bill for him. Natalia bursts in at this, telling her son to go back to his homework and dragging Alan out.
On the porch, Alan defends himself, suggesting that he is just offering Rafe structure and direction. She admits that she would like her son to know his father's family, but if he wants to reach out, he should take him to a baseball game. Alan wants to teach him the family business. Natalia doesn't want her son doing his dirty work. Alan insists that Gus would support this. She walks off to do the laundry, stopping by her son who flashes the watch. He tells her that he'll never be late now.
Natalia goes to see Mallet at the station to get an update on the case against Alan. He says it's a Federal case and is still going ahead. She's worried about Rafe, she admits. He begins to probe about Gus and his cases. She says he never really mentioned them, he was just proud of what he did. She tells him that she never managed to get the mortgage for the house together so she and Rafe are still living in the boarding house. When she returns to Company, she's surprised to run into Olivia. She offers to buy her tea. "I have a problem. You might be able to help me," she says. They sit down and Natalia asks for help with Alan; he's doing something she has to stop. Olivia thinks that Alan could teach Rafe a thing or two. "So you would send your son to him?" Natalia asks. Olivia doesn't answer. Natalia doesn't want Rafe to be a spy and needs Alan to back off. Olivia snipes that she left her magic wand at home so Nat is on her own.
Alan runs into Olivia and he makes a joke about her coming back from the dead. He's played that trick himself a few times. She starts to ask him about bringing Rafe to the dark side. Alan wants to develop a relationship with the boy. Olivia suggests that he take him to the movies and leave his soul alone. "Do you think I'm going to take orders from you?" he smirks. She reminds him of how much they've been through; "Wouldn't it be nice if we learned a thing or two?" When Alan goes into Company, he starts talking to Mallet about Gus' money. Alan tells him he left it in a checking account and under his bed. They start to talk about Dinah; Alan still wants his home and company back. As Mallet walks to the door, Natalia walks in. Alan offers to buy her a soda. "Why?" she asks. He says that she was right and he will leave Rafe out of his fights. She thanks him for respecting her wishes. Later, Rafe goes to see Alan and tells him that he saw Dinah with Doris at Towers. Alan thanks him for the information and tells him he's a great help. Rafe wants to help and tells him that they can keep it secret from his mother. "I have to make my own decisions," Rafe says. "I couldn't agree more," Alan smiles. Meanwhile, Natalia goes to visit Olivia and thanks her for talking to Alan.
Natalia walks out of the boarding house and finds her son with a picture. She assumes it's of Daisy but it's of the house Gus bought them. Rafe still wants the house back. As he trudges away, he makes a call. Meanwhile, Jeffrey takes Olivia to Cedars for a doctor's appointment. They joke about their brief marriage. She starts to pace. "I hate this," she rants. Jeffrey tells her to stay positive. "Shut up," she says. He leaves. As she continues to wait for the doctor, Rafe arrives and confronts her about the house. He can't understand why she is doing this to him and his mother. She tells him life isn't fair. She's just trying to feel something and she thought the house would make her feel something. He reminds her that she has kids. The kids can't understand, she explains. Rafe keeps repeating that she doesn't even live in the house. "I knew him longer than you!" she snaps. He thinks she's crazy. Natalia arrives and pulls him away, giving him some water and telling him to behave. "Stay away from that horrible woman," she orders. He skulks out and she sits down. Jeffrey returns and sees her drinking water. "You look like you could use something stronger," he comments. Her life is a mess: She's lost Gus and now she's losing her son. How is Jeffrey doing? Olivia was driving him crazy and drove him away, but now he's back. She offers to drive Olivia home for him. "I think we have to have a little chat," she says. He thanks her and leaves.
Olivia finishes her checkup with her doctor. She thinks this treatment will be endless. Natalia arrives, announcing that she will be taking her home. Olivia smirks. "Mother-son tag team day?" she jokes. They walk to the parking lot. Natalia resists the desire to scream in her face. She drives her home to The Beacon. Olivia thinks Natalia has a personality disorder: One minute she wants to attack her, the next she is caring for her. She asks her to leave. Olivia goes to the house alone and sits on the lawn. Meanwhile, Natalia tracks down Rafe in the park. She tells him that, even if it feels like Olivia gets everything, it's not really true.
Frank runs into Natalia down the street. He encourages her to come to the party, suggesting that they need a "pretty bartender". He hurries off to court to do prep work. Marina is already there, as is Coop. Marina complains about how Harley is a terrible partner, always having panic attacks and leaving her to do all the work. She's not in the mood to do prep with her father, nor is she in the mood to watch her aunt mourn for Gus while clinging to Cyrus. Frank assures her that Harley and Cyrus are over and he'll likely be running back to her very soon. Marina doesn't want him, she claims, and walks out. She goes shopping and buys herself a cute new outfit. Later, Mallet arrives, apparently surprised by how great she looks in the outfit, and escorts her over to Company.
