Mallet finds Marina sitting on the porch. She's not thrilled that they are holding Thanksgiving for the 'stragglers'. He begs her to come inside and help him cook. She brushes him off. He imagines she's angry because he's publicly told her that he loves her twice. Once with a gun pointed at him and the second time while drunk on ouzo. She tells him he can prove he loves her by not lighting the house on fire. They hear something blow up and rush inside. Rushing in, they find Frank and Coop arguing about cornmeal. Marina begins taking over. They're all surprised that the turkey she bought is so small. Coop thanks Daisy for not bringing Grady. Frank echoes the sentiment. Annoyed, she threatens to call him.
The family set the table. The toilet clogs. Marina and Mallet bicker and Frank teases her, suggesting that she would never get married without them around. She insists that she has a private life that doesn't include them. Rick arrives. Marina's startled that he didn't bring anything. Moments later, she discovers that Daisy has thrown away the dinner rolls because they are all hard as rocks. Coop asks for snacks. The cheese is moldy. Buzz arrives and tells her that everyone looks happy. "That's because they think food is coming," she says.
Reva returns to the Coopers' just as Buzz is about to start the toasting. She toasts to life; it takes almost losing it to realize how important it is. Crying, she tells everyone how thankful she is to be able to bring another life into the world. She's always been in love, but never 'lived in love' the way she does now. She offers thanks for her children and grandchildren. "Let's try to make each day Thanksgiving," she finishes. Since there is no food, they decide to call for takeout. Mallet and Marina slip away. He tells her that she is the person he loves. She loves him too and doesn't need him to declare it to anyone. He asks her to marry him. They kiss.
Marina takes some files out of her bag when she notices a poker chip. She smiles and goes inside, cornering Frank while he raids her fridge. She begins telling him about her trip to the casino when Mallet runs in and stops her. They try to cover and Marina begins rambling about marriage. Mallet laughs uncomfortably and changes the subject. They discuss Thanksgiving. Frank explains that Company will be open to people who have nowhere else to go. They agree to help out and send Frank off to work with a muffin and some bananas. As soon as he's gone, Mallet tells her that he's afraid she almost told her dad that they eloped. She thinks he's a 'wuss' and walks out. On the lawn, they flip a coin to determine if she can tease him forever. She notices that it is heads on both sides. She wishes that he could be more honest about his feelings. He points out that she has yet to tell him that she loves him in public. She teases him. He kisses her.
Mallet arrives at Company and Frank throws him a potato so he can start peeling. Mallet refuses to wear an apron. Buzz walks in, announcing he needs a drink. He begins pouring and they toast to true love. They get drunk as they cook. Frank tells Mallet he thought he was the guy for his daughter, but it turns out that he's 'not the sharpest tool in the shed'. Mallet defends himself but Frank doubts he 'wants the cow if he's getting the milk for free'. Buzz begins screaming about true love. Mallet stands on the table and begins screaming that he loves Marina and they tried to elope. Marina stands in the doorway. "Oh Mallet..." she groans before noticing that the meal is on fire. After they put the fire out, Marina asks for an explanation. Mallet admits to Frank that he was 'going to buy the cow'. Frank hugs him. Mallet tells Frank he can be his best man and Buzz can be the matron of honor. As Marina teases him, he limps into the bathroom to be sick.
Mallet and Marina bicker about Dinah. He wants to take her to a casino to relax. She thinks that Dinah will continue to jump up like a jack-in-the-box. He asks her if he has to marry her to convince her that he cares. Awkward pause. He suggests they get married on a whim and they immediately go over to the courthouse to do it. She seems worried. "If this is about Dinah, you don't have anything to prove to me," she says. He wants to marry her so he can wake up beside her, bad breath and everything. She wants to marry him so she can go to bed every night with her personal hero. "I think I might love you," she confesses, but any gifts they get from Dinah have to go in the trash. They agree and kiss. He knocks on the Justice of the Peace's door. They soon notice the note on the door that says he's away due to an emergency. Mallet tries calling all of the judges in town but they have no luck. She assumes that's fate. When she hands him a brochure for Mt. Arrowhead Casino, he spots a 24 hour wedding chapel and decides that's the place to go. They kiss, get beer and toast. She worries about packing and getting a witness. He tells her to stay calm, takes a picture of her with his phone and announces they can write their vows in the car.
An angry Remy meets with his gambling contact in the alley outside Company. He freaks out and starts yelling about his street cred. His contact walks way. Remy calls to get some more shifts at work. Cristina walks by. He's ready to walk away but she stops him and apologizes for judging him. She offers her sympathies for everything he's been through and admits that she tries too hard. "Can you teach me how to handle the pressure?" she asks. Mallet and Marina run out and announce that they are getting married. "That's a catastrophe!" he laughs. They ask him to come with them and be their witness. Excited, he agrees and asks Christina to come with him. Laughing, they all run off.
Once they get to the Mt. Arrowhead, Christina helps Marina get ready in the bathroom. They down champagne to calm their nerves. Marina's dress is new, her bra is old and Christina gives her a blue change purse. Marina admits that she never imagined she would be getting married like this. They giggle nervously and keep drinking. Meanwhile, Mallet and Remy drink champagne to calm their nerves. The women come out. They all drink together until the witnesses walk off to wait for them in the chapel. The bride and groom kiss and toast, eager to get it done in an hour so they can have a steak dinner, free photo and some free motor oil.
Moments later, Mallet and Marina stand alone. She admits that she only wants him, but she doesn't need to get married to prove it. He tells her that he loves her, though he's been afraid to admit it. She loves him too. They kiss. "Let's go home. We can get married anytime. We can do it for the right reasons," she says. They kiss again and leave.
Vanessa arrives at Marina's with a package. She drops it on the table and begins complaining that Alan has duck related decorations all over the mansion. They discuss Bill and Vanessa prompts her to open the gift she brought and explains it's from Dinah. Marina backs off and decides she should wait for Mallet. Vanessa pushes her to open it. She does, pulling out the gift, grimacing and reading the note. Laughing, Vanessa says that there was a time when she thought the box would have been ticking. She explains that Dinah has left town and she wouldn't be surprised if it was for good. Marina suggests a fresh start would be good for her. Vanessa leaves. Marina picks up the gift and, accidentally, smashes it.
