Tough act to Follow.

At the station, a cop hands Frank the latest tip. He's annoyed and assumes it's another fake tip from a weirdo. Lizzie and Alan arrive. Frank doesn't have much to tell them. Alan complains that Frank was using ten times the resources when Marina was kidnapped. They argue. Frank admits that they have tips but they're all from idiots. Lizzie asks to look at them. When he hands her one, she gasps. The tip says that Bill did it. Lizzie is outraged. Alan plays up the outrage and begins to rant. He asks why Bill would do it and lists all of the ways he would have benefited, like how he took over her shares in the company and made himself a hero to shareholders. Frank starts to think and then states that this is the only motive he's come across so far. Lizzie spots the ransom notes from the kidnapper. Frank explains that most kidnapping are committed by someone the victim trusts. Lizzie is so confident that Bill can't be guilty and asks Frank to come to the house and search it.

I Hate Being a Grown-up.

Marina runs into her father at the station. She begins talking about problems with the house and her growing pains with Mallet, namely, Dinah. She knows that Mallet is a good guy but... "I blame you for making me so self-reliant," she says. Dinah is needy, she isn't. Now she is being forced to tolerate needy Dinah and giving Mallet. Frank tells her she's being immature. She reminds him that Dinah cost him his job. Frank's not stewing over it anymore. He tells her that Dinah's made bad decisions, like letting Mallet go, but now he's with her. The only person Dinah has now is Bill and he's in a coma. He's sure that she'll see less of Dinah soon. "I hate being a grown-up," she pouts.

I've Been Stupid.

Mallet arrives to check in with Frank. He runs off to the woods to search for signs of Lizzie and Bill. Dinah trails him. He's not pleased to notice her lurking behind some trees. He drags her back to Frank. They ask if she saw anything. She defensively snaps and runs off. Frank is angry that Dinah is running around investigating things by herself.

Rick sends Daisy to sit with Lizzie when they arrive at Cedars. Lizzie soon wakes up. She smiles when she remembers that Bill rescued her. Remy comes in. Panicking, Lizzie jumps up, eager to see Bill. Remy tries to keep her calm. They go down the hall. Bill's not in his room, only bloody towels. Frank comes in as Lizzie freaks out. He tells her that Bill has been taken to surgery. Lizzie cries.

This Isn't a Good Time.

At the mansion, Frank tells Dinah that they didn't manage to trace Lizzie's call. Frank is pessimistic but tells her that there are a lot of ways to identify the people involved. She drops her glass. He begins picking up the shards. She reminds him that she has a maid for that. He can see that something is wrong with her. She tells him about her conversation with Mallet the other day and admits that she is not okay; she just wishes this was all over. If Lizzie doesn't come back... she trails off and starts to cry. Bill suddenly calls Frank to say that he's found Lizzie and she's fine. Dinah grabs the phone and asks what's happened. Bill didn't see the kidnapper's mask, he explains. Frank takes the phone and offers to send his men to get them. Frank's startled to see how hard Dinah seems to be taking everything. She wants to go with him to pick them up.

Frank and the cops arrive outside of the garage, they run up to Bill beating on Grady. Bill steps away and Lizzie pulls off Grady's mask. Dinah begs him not to speak but he reveals that she was behind this scheme. This is all just Dinah's imagination though. In reality, she and Frank are still trying to figure out what to do. Frank gets a call that they may have pinpointed the location where Bill's phone is. She suggests that he go to the place near the docks where she was shot. Frank's baffled by this suggestion and tells her to stay put before he runs off.

Frank and his men search around a factory. They discover Bill's cell phone and nothing else. Dinah runs around in the distance, watching.

I Could Have Done This Without You.

Natalia runs into Remy and the girls in the hallway of The Beacon. She has to run off to a meeting but she asks them to drop off some fire safety kits at the front desk. Afterwards, they go and visit Ashlee at the TV station. They do a fire drill and then return to Company to catch up with Frank and Buzz. The girls run behind the counter for ice cream. Remy admits to Buzz that they exhausted him but reminded him of how much he wants to be a father.

Frank goes over to the mansion to search for more clues. He tells Dinah that Lizzie's call wasn't dropped, it was 'ended' so it looks like it could be too late.

Pit Stop.

Jeffrey stalks around the woods searching for Lizzie and discovers a shack. He calls for some backup. It turns out that he doesn't need it. Meeting up with Frank, he admits that he can't remember the last time he called for backup. Frank teases him.
