Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

From the spoilers I'm reading. It looks like Gillespie has been brought in for Alan to hire him to kill Jonathan, but looks like Tammy will be the one to die.
Of course since Gillespie will use the gun he stole from Gus, Gus will probably go on trial for her murder. A new storyline for Gus and Harley.
But, what about Alan. Ron Rains must be sick at heart for the way the writers have him portraying Alan. A real sick nut case. All his sick efforts to get Lizzies baby, and now having a hit man to kill two kids. All because Jonathan could not love his granddaughter Plus to further assassinate this character, if Gus goes on trial will Alan just sit back and let his first born legitimate son go to prison for him?
The only way I see Alan's character being saved is in the end is that Alan did not hire Gillespie, but say a relative of Sandy's who blames Jonathan and Tammy for the death of Sandy.
It really makes me mad that they are tossing Alan away like another Spaulding (Philip) all for the sake of a storyline.

Alan is sick, just like the rest of his family.I liked his old character, the way he used to be, but am tired of him always getting away with crap, him and Beth both, like when she had them locked up in the cabin.Lizzie isnt too far behind.

Nope, I don't think so. Alan is sliding down to hell even as we speak. For all the people he's hurt, I hope vengeful Beth comes back and beats him 'til he's a stain...
