Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

I am against this spoiler storyline. Olivia and Natalia should remain good friends. This kind of writing will cause many viewers to stop watching Guiding Light. These two women do not even fit this kind of storyline. This makes me sad. Please, tell me that this is not true. The writers would kill our Guiding Light, if this happens to these two characters. No No No.

:-) That is freakin awesome!!! I declare, suffice it to say, at least they are going to get a little "Pizzaz" back into the show.

One of my delights in the past was to come on this message board and hear everyone freak out about Tammy and Jonathan being in the grip of Satan because they were distant cousins and in love.

This has made my day, I suppose all of the Fun-da-mentals will have a field day with a couple of Les's!

Go for it GL! Somebody's gotta do something....the regular crap they are writing is killing the show.

Removing Josh was the best thing they could have done...but this is a quite a turn!

GL's just keepin' it real folks! Gay people are part of everyday life anymore and they have just as much right to be onscreen as anyone else. A love story is a love story and the only people left rebelling this piece of reality are the phobics and the older generations. At least it will be something new. At least they won't be swapping partners every other week since they'll be the only two in town!

I am of the older generation and I have no problem with a lesbian sl. I just think having it between these 2 characters is a stretch!

I really don't see anything wrong with these 2 characters getting together...I think its kinda sweet...

I really hope they take this further..I think it will open up a whole new world to GL..Times have changed and you never know they just might pick up more viewers..Doesn't hurt to try...

I can't believe this one and I am against it. Just another show of the writers messing with characters again. I would be fine with a lesbian storyline but not between Olivia and Nat. Olivia is definately straight. What is the dialouge going to be a joke/insult to gay people:

Alan: No wonder you were not happy with me, I couldn't give you what you needed

Olivia: I can't help it after doing all the men in Springfield, I ran out and decided on women Alan

This is just wrong. People don't just wake up one morning and decide to sleep with the same sex.

Now maybe Nat with another woman I could understand because she hasn't slept with anyone but Gus. Right?
Or if GL really wanted to explore the Gay SL maybe Daisy, Grady, Ashlee, Somebody young and who hasn't done men for 10 years. Making Olivia gay would be like making Blake gay.

And now the trolls linger onto the board! Just wonderful!

I generally leave my TV on during this time, but I will happily turn if they do continue with this sl. Yes, I'm not a devoted fan to stupid sl's.

Gay Light?

The internet is abuzz with reports that Guiding Light is about to launch its own lesbian romance between Olivia and Natalia, the heterosexual--or so we thought-- frenemies played by Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia. Well, not quite. A GL publicist does acknowledge that the gals are growing closer and will form "a deep, rich, emotional relationship that will be very unusual for soaps." Word is they will also move in together in an upcoming episode. But, insists the rep, "this is not going to be a gay story line."
