Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

Wow, am I behind in the GL storylines. I have been out of town for the past two weeks. No GL to watch! So, I have been spending two days reading all the posts and so many new threads. I will say one thing about the Natalia-Olivia possible storyline of them being lesbians. I'd rather see a good gay storyline , then a bad lesbian storyline. I, personally loved the movie Brokeback Mountain. Now,that was one good love story. As far as the lesbian storyline ruining the GL, the writers have been working on that for a long time now.

It's a hot mess, is what it is. Now P&G decides to be raging liberals and change sexualities? Why not Frank?! I will always ask that question. Frank is an obvious choice because he's not a central character. He's actually tertiary (with a contract). If FD won't do it, I say fire him and bring in a good actor who will. But Liv and Nat in a soap update of The Children's Hour is just plain ol' stupid, IMHO, of course.

I'm just wondering if this "insider" is saying this just to get people to watch to see if it is real. that would be one way to get the ratings up.

Oh my, this just cannot happen. Two very attractive women WTH, we all know Olivia has been with so many men and Natalia very much in love with Gus, do the writers seriously think this is going to make for a good S/L. I can already see alot of dissapointed posters, myself included. I have been along time fan, but IMHO this is the worst the writers have done(should this be true)to characters who we have bonded with for who they are and who we know. As we can all see GL ratings have been at the bottom for quite some time Hmmmmmmmmmm.....wonder why. I don't understand why they want to upset viewers, I guess this is just one way of bidding fairwell to some of us. Should this happen I will no longer watch G/L, not because they want to do a lesbian S/L, but because they are using two already known characters to do it. If we the viewers can come up with great S/L's certainly the writers should consider our thoughts and ideas and save our Soap! Sorry guys I know enough said, So.....disgusted is all.

I've been out of the loop and I just read this. Ahhhhhh, ummmmmm, hmmmmmmm, weeellllll, I...just...didn't see this coming! Maybe the folks at GL are trying to reel in viewers to raise the ratings.

what are you talking about? Natalia is a religious woman and I don't know if you know but Catholics are against same sex relationships. Don't you watch the news? Give me a break, this isn't true.

Thanks. If GL knows what is good for them, they won't do this true. Has this been confirmed? A source? Just b/c an insider says it's going to happen don't make it so. I don't like the story with Luke/Noah on ATWT, so why would I want to see one on GL with Nat&Oliva? GL is already sinking, do they want to drown?
