Quote PelphreyPosse: Let me see, first question about Rob Bogue. He is one of my very best buds on the show. We got to spend a good bit of time together away from the fans. He is usually the one who comes and gets me and brings me back to where the actors are staying. I did talk to Ellen Wheeler some and I am going to the GL studio on my next trip to NYC where we can talk some more.
Tom is still out in L.A. auditioning. In addition to the Ghost Whisperer episode on Oct. 17th, he filmed a CSI, Miami episode that he THINKS will air the first of Novemeber, he wasn't real sure about the date. Said he had a great time filming that, he is a mobster in that one. Might go back and do another, they liked him there. Isn't planning on returning to NYC anytime soon, but is planning to be involved in the Apothecary Theatre in the city, I went to his play reading with Kim and Marcy and it was really good. He looks good, (of course, I'm prejudiced so he always looks good to me.) I was just so happy to get to hug him and hear that laugh. He just makes me happy.

thnx pelphreyposse.
did tom say if he's going to be in other plays?
and was there a big crowd for this event?

Is this my buddy and traveling companion from Nashville? If so just want to say I am so upset that I didn't get to go with you this time to New York!

Marmall, I'll try to answer several questions in this. You asked about special privileges, I've been meeting these people for nearly 20 years. That builds up a familiarity with them and that helps a lot. I did 4 Find Your Light volunteer projects last year with the GL actors and got to know Ellen Wheeler rather well. I traveled to four different states to do that. I ran into Ellen at Bradley Coles' Rock Show on Friday night and just asked her if I could come watch anytime. She said" sure, you wanna come Monday? I said no, I meant next fall during the same week. She introduced me to one of the production people and said "she will call you, let her come whenever" so I got the lady's card and I'm in. Unless an actor takes you to the studio or you buy a tour with an actor/intern you don't get inside. They are all closed sets with guards. I just happen to be one of those lucky souls who know the right people, like Christopher Goutman, Executive producer of ATWT and I get to go whenever I want to. Believe me, I know how fortunate I am. Someone asked about Rob and Mandy. I have been friends with Rob for several years, we email back and forth all the time. I have gotten to know Mandy better over the last year and I did spend a lot of time including dinner after the luncheon with both of them. They treat me very special and I love both of them.

Calliope, I am trying to combine answers. The people that came to the brunch are die hard Gus/Harley fans. They love these two characters and these two actors. The restaurant was jammed full of fans for this event. It was sold out.
As for the mood of the GL actors, I think it is much more positive than it used to be. They all acknowledged that the camera work used to be terrible but it is much better. They think the writing is getting better, and feel better about all things involved. As for storylines, I didn't get any hints on any thing much. I do feel like Cyrus and Grady are there for a good while. And I am so happy that Jeff is on my show as Shane. He is one of my favorite guys and now I don't have to worry about being able to get hold of him when I am in the city. We tried for two days to get together but between his schedule and mine with the events, we finally settled for a phone call while I was eating out with John D. and then they got on my phone and talked forever! They are good friends also but neither knew that I knew both of them. They were laughing so much. So I at least got to talk to him again after I saw him at the luncheon. You are gonna love him on the show.

Sport, it was a small theater but jammed packed with Pelphrey fans. He said he would auditiion for each play there, and if he got a role would come into NYC for it.

Pelphrey Posse: am so glad your 5-day visit to NY was so much fun and informative! Just keep us up to date on Tom's doings, and I also am interested in Murray Bartlett and what is going on for him...I even am now more interested in Kane Manera, and think he is doing a great job, but know alot of posters do not like him due especially to his looks, I think....take care, jdvermeer

Hey Pelphrey Posse,

I'm so glad that you had a wonderful weekend. From everything that I've heard it was a wonderful event this year. I have one question for you. Do you have an idea what the song was that Murray sang at the show? It's been driving me up the wall what it was. Thanks again for all your scoop as always.

jdmeeg - I'm also a huge fan of Murray and Kane as well. I think that Kane has gotten a bad rap because of the way that Grady is perceived on the show.

I believe I shared a cab with you PelphreyPosse to Tom's play reading. I should have asked your screenname! I've been reading your posts on here for a long time, anything with Tom's name catches my special attention! Anyways, thanks again for getting me to meet Tom! You made my trip very special! You are truly a wonderful lady and I have been bragging to everyone about my new found friend! I'm glad to hear the rest of your weekend was spectacular! Talk to you soon! Danielle

DG, I have to email Murray tonight and I will ask him the name of the song. He blew me away, I did not know he could sing, he laughed and said he still couldn't. I think he did a good job. Back to you when I have the answer.

Shulbelca, wish I'd thought to ask you if you were a poster also. But we were talking so fast and time was so short. But not only am I glad to hook up with you, you are now my witness that I REALLY know Tom. I think half if not more of the posters on this board don't think I really know him like I do. You stood there and saw and heard him, asking about my friends that he took on rides at Kings Dominion two years ago from the Blind School. Now maybe some of these folks will believe me! Are we rooming together next year? Hope so.

You are right! I saw it with my own eyes! Not only are you friends with Tom, but Marcy and Jesseca (and her husband) were thrilled to see you! My friends here are all joking that in the future I will be at all the events just like you, but I doubt I will be so lucky! I have to tell you the photo I ended up getting with Tom makes me look like a complete stalker lunatic! He looks wonderful but I look like I should be locked up! Not sure I will get to any other events soon, but if Tom is there I will make the effort!

Thank you very much Pelphrey Posse for taking the time to do that. I knew that Murray sang. He's credited as part of the cast for the original Australian production of " The Boy From Oz". Murray played Greg Connell back in 1999. He also did the revival of it when Hugh Jackman took it back to Australia in 2005. He's credited on the Australian recording with a couple of songs. I haven't though been able to hear him sing yet. It must have been such a treat. Thank you very much again.
