Why can't Jeffery understand Olivia?

12/14- Why can't Jeffery understand, Olivia is still "upset" Jeffery would not even tell if the truth had not had come out! Jeffery is not good with the truth. He should asked for giveness every time he sees the women! Or better yet stay out of her way! I don't see Olivia forgiving Jeffery anytime to soon! So, he better get used to eating "you know what" . . . for a while! |

I dont agree that the writers want us to blame olivia for whats happened to her over the rape, and let jeffery off. Yes they were both wrong, but nothing excuses rape at all. |

Olivia has had 20 years to come to grips with this. Jeffery is just now finding out Olivia was the girl at the Embassy who was drinking and trying to make men think she was older than she was and that he had a daughter because of the encounter. I don't blame Olivia, as a matter of fact I used to blame Jeffery because Olivia said she had been drugged or something, but that wasn't true, she was just drinking like a fish and looking for a good time, well she got it, and a bit more than she bargained for. One is no more or no less guilty than the other one. Jeffery has all but got down on his knees and begged for Olivia's forgiveness, I am not sure what more she wants. Jeffery can't go back in time and change everything, if he could I am sure he would. If Olivia could go back in time maybe she wouldn't have been such a brat and snuck out of the house and gone to a place her Mother told her to stay away from. I so whole heartedly disagree with Olivia telling Jefferey he should not have anything to do with Ava. Why? Olivia doesn't want to have anything to do with her, so why shouldn't Jeffery try for a relationship with his daugher? I wish he [Jeffery] would just tell Olivia he is going to do what he darn well pleases when it comes to Ava. |

Really...just because a woman dresses and acts provocatively, it doesn't mean she deserves to be raped! FYI: Not only was Olivia underage, but she also passed out during sex. So what are you blaming her for? I agree with what suburbandiva says. Also, may I add that Jeffrey should be thanking his lucky stars that Olivia is thawing toward him, instead of purchasing a gun! |

I am so with you Mona Lisa, Olivia is a user, she has made life miserable for every man she has been associated with (on G.>L.), now she has Buzz in her clutches. I am hoping that s/l is brought to a rapid halt. |

I think they wanted to turn things around, and make the show about olivia again. I really dont think she is to blame for the rape, because if jeffery was not drunk that night and he knew she was then he is at fault. and now he is paying for it |

i think they were both to blame. Olivia should not have been there, she was underage and drunk. Jeffery thought she was older then she is and he was drunk. the sooner they come to terms with this the sooner they both will heal. Jeffery wants to be part of Ava's life but Olivia will not allow him. I like Olivia, and i like Jeffery, i think they belong together. Sorry Buzz, i like him but think he needs to be with someone else. |

Sorry, but what happened between Olivia and Jeffrey was not even close to rape. I think that the writers have established that. Why do some of the fans keep beating this dead horse. I watched and rewatched those episodes and Olivia even admitted that it wasn't rape. Olivia has Buzz now that she is supposed to be in love with (yeah, as if Olivia knows how to love) so forget about Jeffrey. Olivia wants nothing to do with Ava so she should at least let Ava have her father since she certainly is no mother figure to her..... |

Unfortunately, Olivia was raped. Not only was Olivia underage (statuatory rape) at the time, but she also passed out during sex (that part of the story GL never changed). So, hate to say this, but she was raped. I'm not happy about this either. I like Jeffrey, and I don't believe he's 'responsible for every evil thing that happens in the world'. But facts are facts. The only reason I don't think he's totally evil in this instance is because I believe Jeffrey has changed from the way he was 20 years ago. If Jeffrey still had that uncaring attitude about what he did, I would hate him! That remorseful apology also went a long way toward preventing me from wanting to rip his face off; it is the only reason Olivia is starting to heal. And yes, Jeffrey being young and drunk certainly takes some of the sting out (although I still wonder why he didn't see that Olivia had passed out before doing the deed. Even drunk people are not that stupid.). However, he should still be held accountable for his actions that night. Since Jeffrey didn't go to jail for his crime, Olivia has every right to ask him for something that will make her feel better. She certainly didn't force him to make that promise. Jeffrey gave her this promise freely, and should keep it (at least until he proves to Olivia that he isn't scum). Finally, whether Olivia knows how to love or not is debatable. She certainly knows how to love Emma. |
