I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts and opinions were about Daisy being pregnant..Personally the show today made me feel so sad for her (not that having a child isn't a good thing) but i'm around her age and I couldn't imagine getting that kind of news...She's just getting her life turned around and this happens...another Natalia Gus situation..what do you guys think?

We were predicting this story a couple of months ago because of how both she and Rafe were unplanned teen pregnancies. I'm not surprised at the story, but I think she might give the child up for adoption.

Like I said in an earlier post, writers don't think when they write a story. We know that Raffe and Daisy had sex within the last week, Daisy said she was 2 weeks late to the nurse and that would mean that it was a month ago that Daisy would have become pregnant....Is she seeing someone else on the side????

Now that would be interesting!!!

I really wish that the writers had chosen another path with Rafe and Daisy,like being in love(teenage) but enjoying it,hanging out, doing positive things,and show that you can have fun without getting into the whole sex thing; I feel teenage sex is glamorized enough on television. Though I am not crazy about the show right now so far OLTL has a teenage storyline that deals with issues that are not all about sex. Daisy could have been portrayed as being someone that overcame obsticles and formed a strong relationship with her mother. Rafe could have been a positive model for a young man.I really wish we could show teens in different light.

Being in love? That's not exciting. I've seen soap characters in love (old love, young love, criminal love, psycho love) a billion times. Bring on the drama!

It can be; there can be drama without pregnancy coming into play, there was enough drama with the conflicts with their parents.There is so much like what dress to wear to the prom.lol

I've seen moony eyes and hearts and stars and love in the afternoon. I've watched more than my share of "love" on soaps for all these years. Now, suddenly, I'm interested in Daisy...because of the new drama. How long can a honeymoon truly be? Real life has officially begun. IMO.

My point exactly real-life includes people that are responsible which does not neccessarily = boring. I would just like to see teens represented in a different way, and not all hormones there are some that are looking forward to attending college, traveling, and maybe relieve Mel of her double duties lawyer and doctor. It just seems that GL has lost its umph, no one is happy,Remy is being chased by a stalker while he stalks Natalia,who stalks Gus.They seem to have been heading in the right direction with Buzz and Lillian,but no can do. Circumstances do not have to make you weak, hence Natalia I was so psyched to see a strong minority woman come on the scene; she could have been good with Remy but tptb striped both of them of their b@!!$ for a teen pregnancy storyline, been there done that.I love a good love story. I guess that is why I am hooked on GH. Wait let me put on my bullet proof vest before the bullets start to fly.lmao

Although I am not a fan of another teen pregnancy, forgot to wear the condom s/l, the fact that it is Rafe and Daisy could be very interesting.

Personally, I would like to see them pursue an abortion s/l but really show the difficult decision that it is and the after affects it can have on a person and/or couple, not just as a quick fix to a very serious situation.

Since both children are the results of a teen pregnancy, they will both have to face the difficult situation that both of their parents were in many years ago. Rafe, growing up somewhat poor and watching his mother struggle to support him may lean in the direction of abortion or adoption, thinking that he would not want his child to relive the childhood that he had or at least perceived. Daisy on the other hand may lean towards abortion or keeping the baby because of her feelings of being abandoned when she found out she was adopted. Both kids should develop a greater respect for their parents since they will realize what difficult choices they all made.

If they do this s/l correctly and not sweep it under the rug with a typical soap s/l, it could be very interesting to watch, although I'm not getting my hopes up!!!

I'm gonna like this story, either way it goes. This is complexity. Being "happy" for the sake of giggling and tickling is shallow to me. If this were real life, yeah, I'd want them to be happy for at least six months before the drama, but saccharine can only go but so far.
