I am beginning to see a new future for Dinah. These two have some old feelings in both of them. The more time they spend together, these feeling will reveal themselves. I think this could be a great storyline. Vanessa, put him out there , now he is open season for ANYONE, even her daughter. Since the writers won't keep a happy couple, I say let the match begin to happen. Dinah and Mallet were getting a little stale. Too much work and no play, will leave Dinah out there on her own. Mallet will cause this breakup!!

I agree. Plus, I like the fact that Matt is there for Dinah. I watched a bit when I was younger and they always had an interesting chemistry. They seem to know one another very well, and therefore, don't need to hide anything. I'm sure some would disagree, and I like Mallet, but I would actually like to see Matt and Dinah together.

Thank you for thinking as I do on this relationship. I think Matt and Dinah will regain those "old" feelings for each other. I, too, like Mallet, but, he needs to put some more time into their marriage now. The bills will still be there, but, Dinah might not be there for him. This is going to be an interesting story to watch unfold.

Vanessa must learn the same lesson that Harley will learn: If you kick your man out of the house, don't get upset when he pops out of a bed you don't approve of. Any bed.

Vanessa knows that Dinah and Matt have been doing this dance for at least 10 years. If Matt didn't have latent feelings for Dinah, do you think he would have allowed Vanessa to aid a fugitive for all those years? No.

Well maybe Dinah and her Mother can swap notes about Matt if this happens.But i forgot it is All In The Family show

i will be so pi$$ed if dinah leaves mallet. he is working so much because he is trying to pay her medical bills. i mean i know it is kinda his fault she got shot but i'd feel bad for mallet if dinah left him. i would however like to see a vanessa/billy coupling as well as a beth/matt coupling!

Wow, has it been ten years already? But yes, they've always had some attraction between them, along with the bickering and snide remarks that pass between the two of them. They've also been there for one another more often then a lot of people realize. I think they actually bring out a lot of good traits in one another. Plus, I just like Matt. I think he's a cutey.

And yes, this show definitely does emphasize the family aspect. I wonder if anyone has ever done a family chart on who has been married to who, step parents, etc. It could be a very scary thing.

I don't fault Vanessa for giving Matt the boot. What he did was terrible. Yes, they have a long history together and I am furious that the writers have broken them up, but, being that is what they have done, I have to agree with Vanessa. She deserves someone who will be honest with her. Let's not forget when she told Dinah that Matt lost all their money from making bad investments. Then, when things start turning a corner for them, he does it again. He is not a man to be trusted. Sad, very sad because I loved them.
