Well folks, I am from the other side of the coin. I am thin and have been all my life. I am not skinny but thin. There is ridicule for both sides. Thin girls don't always have the right curves and heavy girls may have too much curve. I don't believe weight has anything to do with the person. Personality is the KEY. I think Ashlee is NO different than any other person (skinny or fat). She has the wit and guts to be a well rounded individual. Nothing harmful meant by the phrase well-rounded.

Ashley will be ok.I agree that what that jerk said to her and the way he looked at her was nasty.But she want let it get her down.I think she will have other things to worry about.BAD trouble!!

i agree joe was a jerk and i was a little disappointed that coop didn't stand up to him more. i mean marina looked more ready to punch him joe in the face than coop did.

but i agree...i am a bit overweight myself...i mean i am athletic and do fairly well at sports but getting on the scale is always a little upsetting. i don't cry about it but thats just me...i find it easier to joke about being the bigger girl than crying about it. ashley needs to find self confidence and that doesn't have to be from the size of her jeans. ashlee is funny, sweet, and genuinly a good person. i mean Ashlee might not be a stick thin model, but life is too short to worry about that. joe was shallow and anyone else who cares about stuff like that is shallow too. thank god coop sees past this...i'm not sure he did at first but i know he will be much happier with ashlee than he would ever be with ava.

Actually, Ashley has got more spunk than any of them on the show and she is the most sincere. She got alot of hutspa.(dont know if i spelled it right - thank you)

There a different reasons why some people are overweight, but I don't think Ashley's story ;ine should be based on that alone. Her self esteeme is low, but look at who her mother is and how she talks to Ashley. I'm sure schooling was the pits too (been there, done that). Coop will help her work through it but I also don't see him trying and trying and still sticking around. A person can only do so much. Ashley has to help herslf first.

I think she is over weight and feels Coop can't love her over skinny Ava .Lets face it must man would pick Ava .I'm a little over weight and it makes you feel a little unsure .Coop is a good guy but hopefully he really does like her and its not about getting what he can't because Ashley will be really hurt.I hope they make it about her and not a heavy person story because it seems she is getting heavier then when she started and thats not heathy if they want he to keep getting bigger for there story.I hope I'm not saying these things wrong I'm not tring to be ugly.

A problem is only a problem if one perceives it as such. If Ashlee is happy and healthy at her current weight there is no problem. When someones weight begins to cause health or esteem problems, that is when (s)/he will usually try to make to changes to feel better. Ashlee is attractive & has a pleasant personality which far outweighs a little extra weight. I agree a lot of men are initially physically attracted to women who are thin until they get to know what her personality is all about. If Coop were to choose between Ashlee & Ava, I think it would be Ashlee because Coop has taken the time to get know both of them. Coop appreciates honesty.Ashlee has always been honest but Ava has been deceitful with him at times.I think Coop would be able to trust Ashlee more than Ava.jmo

I don't feel bad for Ashley at all. She had/has a crush on Coop. Coop is interested in her. She has the confidence and enough self worth, to give Coop a hard time, when he is torn between she and Ava. Ashley stands up to her mother, AND for what she believes in. Her nervous laugh, many a person possesses, while it is not the best trait to have, it by far, isn't the worst. Ashley is intellegent and Coop digs her for that, and for her honest evaluation and opinion of his writing....Yes, she is screwed up a bit, but so is EVERYBODY else in soapland
