I love her we just don't ever get to see enough of her due to the fact that she only plays by the book. Everything is black and white no gray. I remember when Jeffrey propositioned her she hesitated slightly but respectfully declined the offer; (didn't even ask for a raincheck) She's definitely a sophiscated lady.

She is a very sophiscated lady. I don't know of any bad details on Mel.But this is soapland so never say never.But i hope they will keep her just like she is.Just wishe they would use her more

I like Mel, too. She is just too darn sweet to fit in with the crazy people in Springfield. She just doesn't fit in, she is like a square peg in a round hole. Too sweet for her own good!

She's sophisticated. Has ultra-high moral standards. Unimpeachable ethical standards. Is a doctor and a lawyer, and is accomplished in both professions. Is from a family of privilege. Was a perfect wife, and is a perfect mother, sister and daughter. Blah, blah, blah.

She's boring! She doesn't belong on soaps. She belongs in the Catholic Church. I hope this secret is pretty dirty and brings her down to Earth where we real mortals reside. The actress is really much better than this thankless role. Even the saintly Angie on AMC had real issues. It's not a real character.

oh i love mel...i was really hoping for a storyline with mel and jeffery hooking up. Mel NEEDS a storyline. Rick is an absolute idiot and i hate him for cheating on mel and becoming such a loser. i hope alan finds out that the baby is his and then beth will go running back to the spaulding mansion and rick is going to go crawling back to mel. the girl better not forgive his sorry a$$...she deserves better. How about Mel hooks up with Frank. they both need some lovin!!! what does everyone think

Who can live up to her? Even her brother is beneath her. She soooo superior to everyone. Harley, Cassie, and Blake are no longer really her friends because they fail to reach her lofty perch. I know that she's a very friendly woman and all that, but who wants to be around someone who has the moral ability to look down upon you? I know I don't.

Then she'll be the doctor, and the town lawyer, and the mayor. I mean please.....

Maybe she's the one running a prostitution ring out of Cedars with all of Lillian's nurses. Maybe that joke Lil put out there was foreshadow.

Thats just it she so great she is a doctor.lawyer,so why not the mayor? At least she would keep it clean and not take side's when someone does wrong!!

Mel's Secret???

MMMMmmmm...if she was extremely smart should would have started med school at age 17 (let's say)..so 3 years of med school, 4 years of internship, and a couple of playing doctor....now she's 26. Med school wasn't enough so lets start becoming a criminal lawyer...I believe the schooling for that is around 5 years, you need to clerk for someone and of course during this time she still is saving lives. Her age now would be 31'ish. After that she becomes a part of the GL team and has story lines. It a long time before her a Rick hook up and Rick has his heart surgery. Which she helped between being a lawyer and being a doctor. Her daughter is around 17, so if you add the years before Rick about 5 that makes her 36, add the 17 year old daughter which would make her 53 in soap life. I wonder how old they want us to think she is!!!

Please, pretty please, don't let Mel become a S/F nut case. She is so refreshing. She is so squeeky clean that she glows. Now if the writers make her a bad person what do we have left? Let me think .............. can't think of anyone. Guess they will just have to leave Mel alone.
