Quote daisyjo: You're right about Cassie and Josh, no chemistry. Billy loves Reva but she is wasting her time with Jeffrey, again no chemistry. A love story for Lizzie would be good. She needs someone that will bring out the best in her.

I like Jeffrey with Reva but not forever. I think Jeffrey should get back together with Cassie or something...and Reva should be with Josh *forever!*.

I agree I think that Lizzie needs a really good love story. I would really LOVE too see Lizzie with Remy. I think that the two of them would be really good together, but it doesn't look like the writers are going to do that any time soon...

I totally agree with all of you. I remember the old days of families....Bauers,Readons,families who loved, fought and stood up for what they belived in. Now it seems like what will Alan do next, or how far will Olivia go to get a man that she will drop as soon as she gets him? The writers need to put some more of the family first, there is no more Bauers or Readons. Yes, we have the Coopers....I feel we need another Bert Bauer character, someone who is grounded. I read the threads and I think a lot of you have better ideas for storylines.Oh to have Nola back again

I totally agree with you. They should bring back some of the Bauers and the Reardons were good too, I totally forgot about them!! Whatever happened to Ed? He could come back and help Rick, he is going to need it.

I'm not frustrated, all soaps have their dry spells. They are in need of extended good old fashion families and family values. They need an honestly good person - seems the whole town are criminals of some portion. Seems that most are angry or vengeful. But, hey it's soapland.

Didn't Bogey famously say in Casablanca:

We'll always have the Coopers.

I think that's why the Coopers are on the show... Buzz is suppossed to be the honest politician against the assumingly corrupt Doris Wolfe.

Yeah, I know, but they're a joke to me.

I like Doris better. At least she knows she's a shark.

Buzz tries to be all noble.

You said it best! The Coopers pretend too much.

They always act like they are the beacons of morality.

Sike. All of them are messed up.

I really miss the matriarchs of the family's. The grandparents, the parents..etc... everyone has a broken family now on soaps. I'd like to see more family's stay together like before. Divorce has become too easy, especially on soaps. Overnight if you go away, days if it is to be annulled, a month normally. Common...what happened to good times or BAD times....in SICKNESS or in health, for richer or POORER. It seems you have to be good, healthy and rich in order to keep the marriage going.

Alan made a point about that to Rafe recently. He said something resembling:

The Coopers ruin everything for themselves and then blame the Spauldings.

That's in Allan's head. According to him the Spauldings can do no harm. Even though he shot Phillip, kept Gus injured in the cabin, had Tammy run over by a car...need I go on. It's Allan who ruins everything including the Cooper's lives and they (actually Allan)needs to be blamed.
