Quote Delonjo: I watch GL stuff on YouTube all the time. YouTube is a GOLDMINE.

You're welcome. (Who knew that Bert Bauer used to be the Lisa Miller (ATWT) of SF?)

She was a looker in her day. Bert, that is. Those were wonderful times on T.V. The T.V. set in the background was hilarous, no flat screen plasma back then, also no color.. Who says the great old days were great? What would I do without my computer???

My kids are fascinated by black & white TV...Occaisonally they'll watch reruns of Leave it to Beaver in black & white. They think it is sooo cool!

Yes, but we oldies have been there done that. Black and White pictures are in now too. What's old is new again. What goes around ,comes around, etc.. Life is jus one big circle.

It's because they are used to seeing everything in color...so when they see TV in black & white it is new for them.

Who cared about color, fancy Dynasty-esque wardrobes and location shoots when you had full-fledged, non-gimmicky, solid characters, actors and writing? Now that we have REVA frantically hoisting herself onto the roof of a speeding vehicle in I-95 and other unbelievable facts like this, we need the bells and whistles to distract us from what's lacking.

Mary, was this the case back then?

You are so right about the bells and whistles. Jus plain old fashioned story telling. You're killing me with this story of Reva! Now it's a speeding vehicle on I-95. This route doesn't even run through the mid-west. How about a parking lot in SF? You can really imbellish a story, especially when it comes to Reva. But, I digress, the sets in those days were very simple. Scenes took place and you had to use your imagination as to what they wer talking about with thwe story. We , old radio fans, could see a picture in our minds and this was great. The brain did all the work, not some editing wizard back in the studio.Back then if someone was hit with a car, you heard the crash, and vizualized the scene, blood and all. But, today is good too. I like all the remote scenes, but, not in a bathroom. I can use my imagination again on that note. I don't need to seee a man standing up against a wall doing his business. Keep out the bathroom scenes. Have some decency and let people have their private time. Nothing is sacred anymore. Whew, stick a fork in me I'm done....

One of my all time favorites was watching Nola Reardon's Day dreams... She and Quinton had some of the BEST stories! And I loved it when Nola and Vanessa wore the same dress... I was just a kid but I can still remember that story!

Remember when Vanessa used to visit Nola's brother Tony(?) wearing her mink coat with absolutely nothing else on underneath it? She was hysterical.

Any story involving Roger was WONDERFUL. He is missed and can never, ever, be replaced!

Amen, to that , Sonia. He will never be recast ,either. Alan, has become the Roger of SF. But, he will never live up to the evilness of Roger Thorpe. He was the best!

Nola and Qunit in the hot air ballon that was so beautiful. I aggree that Nola had some good day dreams. I loved her, she got into some strange troubles or should I say funny situations. I was really sad when they left.
