What's your favorite s/l from the past?

I love the whole Annie Dutton, Ghost Reva, alive Reva, crazy Annie s/l. When Annie was carrying a dead baby and threw herself down the stairs to blame Reva! Come on!! Who thinks of that stuff??? Great story telling.

This is going way back, before a lot of you fans were born, even before you were a twinkle in your father's eye. I remember the Bauer family. Bert and Bill and Mata, and the two boys Mike and Billy(Ed). Also, the unforgetable Papa Bauer. The patriarch of the family. When it first came on T.V. and I saw the characters I had visualized from the radio, they were just like I thought they would be in real life. The stories were just good old clean fun, lots of family values. Everything took placce in the kitchen and living room. I remember how each family member talked about their day. They sat at the dinner taable and discussed the problems together. There were many interesting stories to follow too. Oh, for the good old days of long ago.

I missed a lot of the Annie Dutton story line because of work. And back then, I didn't even have a VCR. But I watched the end of Annie, and I despised her. I think it was in part because Josh was married to someone other than Reva.

I used to really like Harley and Gus together, when he first came to town and they fought off feelings for each other, but then realized the feelings were there. At first, Gus was not a very likeable person, because he was holding such bad feelings for Danny and his family, and had a personal vendetta against Danny. But Gus and Harley were really funny when they got together. So I guess you could say I am a Gus/Harley fan.

Of course, my all time favorite from Day I is Reva. She can get into some stuff. And she has a great, funny personality.

I loved the old Cassie and Prince Richard. And Reva and Billy are funny together. I can't remember back real far, just cause I think I have Old-heimer's.

The whole cloning Reva s/l was interesting and when Reva was psychic. How did she loose that ability?

Delonjo, I just went to the video of the 1950 episode. Wow,what fun! Just seeing Papa Bauer and the young Bert was so so great. How, I loved to watch that 15 min. show each day. The music, the living room, so much fun to watch again. I will go back and watch other episodes. Boy, do we need a Papa Bauer in town right now. The voice of wisdom!! Of course, he wouldn't believe all the bed hopping that is going on in this day and age. Thanks for the info..Loved it.

I watch GL stuff on YouTube all the time. YouTube is a GOLDMINE.

You're welcome. (Who knew that Bert Bauer used to be the Lisa Miller (ATWT) of SF?)
