Quote Delonjo: I don't want this marriage to end. BE was simply brilliant yesterday, from funny to sad and from comedy to drama. I thought her final performance before her vacation was great. She topped herself again. So utterly natural at conveying all emotions. That bathroom scene with RPG/Gus was amazing, especially the funny parts with Harley throwing toilet paper at his head. I was rolling on the floor with laughter at that one. That was vintage Harley, childish to the very end. BE has proven again that she cannot be replaced.

It was a very good ep yesterday. Gus and Harley had a fight that was realistic, not screaming and yelling through the entire thing. It broke my heart (yes, I have one) to see her throwing it all away because she wants to prove a point. He wants to be married to her. It also killed me inside to see him wanting to enjoy makeup "congress" with his wife only to be told no. Was she kidding?! (Well, that scene highlighted the difference between the male and female vision of sex.) It also turned me against him a bit to see him rub on Nat's hand like that in front of his wife. Now that was total disrespect. Didn't Mary Wells sing something in the 60s about having "Two Lovers" and ain't being ashamed and "My Guy"? Gus is trying to have his cake and eat it too. He's being a typical man. That's not an excuse, it's more of a reason.

Harley, I'mma say this to you once: you can work through this! Now that you know why he ran off and did what he did, accept your own role in this melodrama and act like you want to be married to your husband. Many women would kill for a loyal husband like Gus, but you simply take him for granted and throw him away (like REVA) to the other woman. Now she won, you idiot! Are you gonna take that from Natalia? Are you woman enough to fight for what's yours and still wants to be yours? Or will you cut and run back to the self-pitying Cooper fold?

I hope you surprise me this time, but I won't hold my breath.

After reading your post, I realized that it is BE's performance as Harley over the years that is the reason why I love her so much. She is such a diverse character with as many negatives as positives.

This seems really similar to your love of Olivia. If CC was not as talented as she is, you probably wouldn't like the character as much as you do. It all makes sense to me now.

I loved your post and I have to agree with you that BE was incredible on Wed's epi. This couple has to stay together, but Gus has to wise up also and not stay at the mansion with the woman he cheated with and the Father who is trying to break up his marriage. I said this in another topic, I can appreciate that he wants to use this time away from Harley to can better acquainted with Rafe, so why doesn't he take Rafe to the lake house and the 2 of them can spend time together alone. Besides Roxie needs some company since Alex kicked her out of the main house.

I loved yesterday's show. The only part I would change is Harley,s reaction to Gus having to go tell Nat goodbye. Hello WTF. He deserved a slap! I do believe Harley will fight for her Marriage. I think he was stupid to go stay in the same house as Nat. That is like another slap in the face. He can still be close to his son w/o living with the woman he just cheated with. Harley will fight for him but He is making it very hard for her to want too.

Thanks. BE really saves the character of Harley from the scrapheap, IMO. There are very few roles better cast than BE/Harley on daytime. Very few.

With CC/Olivia. I don't know what it is about her that makes me want to defend even the worst things that she does. As soon as I saw Olivia in 1999 I fell in love and didn't care if she was indirectly involved in Princess Catherine's departure from the island. And her line readings are never to be missed. Christian LeBlanc does the same thing on Y&R as Michael. They have similar acting styles.

KZ is arguably the most talented and inarguably the most accomplished of the three, though. But I've had it with REVA. I want someone--ANYONE--to defeat her.

He was stupid to move back in with a gloating Alan and a horny Nat. I understand his wanting to be near Rafe but he must realize that he's playing right into Alan's hand. I can't wait to see the Harley/Alan scenes today. Oh boy! They are always good!

I don't want to see anyone defeat Reva, just wound her so that she stays on this path of fighting back against those she feels do her harm. I love having the feisty Reva back because we get to see her go toe to toe with Olivia and Alan, which makes for great daytime TV.

I'm waiting for a showdown between Harley and Nat. We know what Harley can do, but what will Nat bring to the smackdown???? I can't wait when it all comes out that Alan drugged Harley, h@ll hath no fury like a Harley who's been mickeyed.

While I was sitting in the beauty salon today, I could not get Harley and Gus off of my mind. ( I need to get a life)
Seriously, I was thinking what if the writers have Natalia pregnant. What a monkey wrench thrown into the mix of the story. They like to do things like that, just to make things more complicated. It has been done before, why not again... Harley, better grab her man, and get Gus back into the house before Nat does get pregnant. Who knnows he just might sleep with her again, by accident!!!

Mary, your scenario is exactly why little Jude is here. Is Jude's last name Bauer or Cooper, or Cooper-Bauer?

Names are very IMPORTANT. Coop's a perfect example. He shames the name Bradshaw, because he is a Cooper thru and thru.

Odd, no praise at all for Goldin? I thought he was at least as Ehlers in the 8-22-07 episode. Ehler's inability to cry annoys me. There is always only moisture under eye, an old trick from commnunity theatre, Visine or saline. She is very good with the making the voice crack to show emotion but no physical proof of it.

Emmy reel, no. The last go round at the Emmys proved that the voters will not accept an Inside The Light episode as a submission. If they did Goldin would have won hands down for that drug episode.

Ehlers and Goldin are very good together. Yesterday proved it.

An obersvation if you will allow me, it seems that people hold the character of Gus to a higher moral and ethical standard than they do the character of Harley. Why is that?

After seeing the 8-23-07 episode, I don't think Harley is as interested in keeping her marriage as she is not losing it. Harley doesn't want to lose the fight. Typical Harley.

After watching Gus on Wednesday I think that he needs Harley to treat him like Nat does. Like he is unique and irreplaceable in her life. The same way he has treated Harley for years. That hasn't happened in years.

Harley has been stirring her stew of neglect for years and it has at last come to a boil. Gus loves her and wants her but he wants his son too, that is what is attracting him to Nat, Rafe. (and her ginormous TaTas) The question is if Harley is willing to fight for Gus like he has fought for her for the last 6 years, and is she capable of seeing past Alan's manipulations and shenanigans. The next move is hers.
