Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

I'm so sick of the hateful posters and Negative comments from so called GL fans. Guiding Light had a great 2006 I can name several vital stories that gave it so much success last year. starting from January to end of year
1. Jon/Tammy/Sandy
2. Gus and Alan expected Dead, Gus's eventual Drug addiction
3. Tammy/Jonathan
4. Reva's Breast Cancer
5. Tammy/Jon/Lizzie
6. Dinah/Mallet/Ross death
7. Jonathan/Alan
8. Buzz/Frank/Olivia
9. Ava finds out that Olivia and Jeffrey are here bio/Parents. Olivia finds out it was Jeffrey who raped her.
10. Blake's the Springfield Blogger
11. Jon/Tammy
GL is again gaining momentum, and I think the show is finally showing signs of a recovery this year, I'm excited to see what the future hold for our favorite Springfield/Beacon Residents. So yes GL deserved a share of the best show emmy!

If you are a GL fan, why would you degrade your fav soap. Everyone that is a true fan,knows the emmy was a good win. We had many good storylines in 2006. I personally don't feel we have many hateful fans. Just because we, and I am one of them ,(that loves the GL)comments on some of the dumb stories we have to deal with from the writers, doesn't mean we are unhappy with the soap. Whew! I never miss the show, good or bad. The win was a well deserved one, and we are all really happy about it. I thought that this board was to discuss the soap and vent with other posters. I am sorry you feel we have mny hateful posters, I love them all, good or bad opinions.... Even if we do not all agree, we are here to discuss the show!!!

Yeah. We all love GL. But some of us care enough to expect and demand better because we spend 60 minutes of our lives each day watching and loving the program. GL won the Emmy. Great! GL was probably the best (other) soap around in 2006, which is faint praise to say the least. If GL was the best, were the other shows so terrible? '

We all love GL. These ad hominem attacks are doing nothing regarding the debate. Telling people to shut up and clap louder never makes things better, it just drowns out the discussion.

I'm not in disagreement that there are alot of great poster here, and I love disagreeing on different topics, it the people who think GL didn't deserve the emmy nod and the disrespect that I saw this morning on a post that a mod took down. GL is by far one of the best soaps around with some great actor/ress; and I think with alot of the new stories it will continue to get better.

Last year was one of the very best in recent memory, I enjoyed it very much.

I think GL is far better today than it was three months ago. I also think today's eps are head and shoulders above last year. If GL was tied for "Best Show" for last year's eps, GL is a shoo-in to take it all next year.

I watch mainly CBS SOAPS. But GL has better actors and story lines than any other SOAP, as far as I am concerned. The actors are just so real. Other actors on some of the other SOAPs look so fake. I used to love the Young and the Restless. And they are at the top of the list in ratings. And GL stays down next to last, with Passions being the lowest. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND! Maybe it is the time slot that it is in. I wish I knew. But without GL every week day is like taking away entertainment. GO GUIDING LIGHT. You are my Light. You are the best.
