Queen REVA: I understand your reservations about Joshua.

How I see it is that he is trying to move forward from the melodrama of the past (all his moral and ethical discrepancies) to his future, wherever it leads him.

REVA never needed Josh -- heck, when she did finally seriously need him, she promptly dumped him (again!) and gift wrapped him up for special delivery to Cassie: D'UH! -- but Cassie sure does, which is a turn-on to Josh after years of mopping up REVA's manure. He looked pained...as if he discovered his loving grandmother was Nazi. I mean, he had to finally realize that REVA doesn't give one whit about his happiness. She deliberately destroyed his wedding day, fercryinoutloud!

That's the way I saw it. Josh is trying to move forward with his life albeit clumsily -- she dumped him! -- while REVA is still all about getting drunk and having wild nights at the karaoke bar.

I think there was a hint of frustration in Josh's voice, especially after Reva told Hawk that "Of course Josh was there with her". He realized right there that he ran to her again and that angered him because he cannot seem to stop running to her aid. When she was laying on the street her called her "Darlin" and kept saying his own name knowing that it meant something to her.

There is an old saying something like "Thou dost protest too much" (sp?) and that is what I am seeing in Josh right now. I see something in his behavior towards Reva that says that he is trying to convince himself that he loves Cassie more than her. In my opinion, he needs to marry Cassie and the 3 of them (meaning RJ as the third) can move to Venezuela to take over things when Bill returns.

We have reached an understanding. i wouldn't mind them taking one of those trips to Venezuela, including RJ. Is he still running up to strange men and rubbing their legs while repeating, "Are you my father? No. Are you my dad? Who is my father?!" LOL

Actually, I saw more than a "hint" of frustration in Josh's voice. I saw absolute restrained outrage and betrayal. RN turned in a fascinating performance because he kept it all inside. He did one of my grandmother's numbers where she acts all reserved about something someone did but you can just tell that the anger and indignation was at full boil. It looked to me like he wanted to wring her neck. Or maybe it was just me...LOL

REVA's an easy target. I love to rag on her. It's so much fun!

josh, is fighting the old feelings he has for Reva, as Delonjo put it, He protest too much, against Reva. He can't get over our gal, even by trying to love someone else. He fights the feeling all the time. If he didn't still love her, he would not have ran to the street, where Olivia hit her, and call her darlin!!! He is fighting the feeling!!!!Love is still in the air between these twolovers!!! Don't ya just know it....

The reason for Josh's extreme outrage was that he cannot help himself from loving her. He doesn't understand (as don't I) why he would still love a woman who would deliberately trash his happiness like that.

As the famous song goes: what kind of fool am I?

Oh he still loves her but I don't think he trusts her much anymore. Without trust can there be love?

Trust, CAN be rebuilt. Gus, would tell you yes, but, I am afraid Harley, doesn't know how to trust again. She is a fool. I wouldn't let Gus go, not for a minute!!

Josh's eternal problem with REVA is that she doesn't need him. Never has. Never will. And, like her soul sister Harley with Gus, will not give Josh the satisfaction of being an equal to her dominance. The Eunuch finally regrew a pair! Thank Goodness!

I am sorry, and I don't mean to be critical but this board most often gets away from the topic of the thread. I thought this was a thread about Jeffrey and Reva.
