Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

I got to meet Murray(Cyrus) and he is simply beautiful up close. Very friendly and interested in meeting fans. I asked him what was happening now with Cyrina and all he would commit to was "there's a lot of trouble up ahead!" He said there are some old location shoots being done to help explain his back history and that might help fans understand where Cyrus is coming from.
Mandy is through with the Les Miz play and taking a 6 week break and is supposed to start in the Frankensein play in late September. She said when all the details were worked out she would have GL put it into the website so all would know where and when to come to the play.
Gina was great and said that Dinah will start getting a bit better so that she can ease away from the brain damaged trauma part. Murray cleaned brush away from the outside of the school, Mandy painted a USA map on the playground and hopscotch squares outside and Gina painted a jungle mural inside the hallway of the school. She painted a lion's head that looks like the Lion King and I painted a huge elephant right next to the lion. It was a lot of fun and great to get time to visit with everyone. If you get a chance to do one of the builds you should do it, even if the thing tells you it is full. They never have enough people and they will let you do it if you show up. It's a great way to see the cast and do something good for the community at the same time. This was my second one and I'll do Nashville next month and report on that one, too if anyone is interested. Oh, and Ellen W. was not there, she was on vacation with her family, will probably be in Nashville and I'll ask her questions there.

I know several really well, email back and forth, but the last time I talked about who I know and what was going on, I got blasted off the board and was pretty much told that no one believed me until I proved that I had pictures to show. I'm not going down that road again and I'll post what I know and you can believe it or not. Sorry to sound down, but I really cannot believe the things some posters said about me who have never even met the actors, many of whom I see 2-3 times a year and talk on the phone to. I posted about Tom being on the cover of a GL book months ago, before anyone had any idea about it. Then when it came out after I said he would come back on the show for a short period to promote it, posters said that they heard it on the internet, my post was 2 months before that.

Thanks, that makes me feel better. I've had several of the cast say exactly the same thing you did. It got so bad on the board that I lost any interest in participating. Thank goodness, no one here seems to be like that. Don't know who will show up for the Nashville build on the 29th, about 3/4 of the cast have already done one. Murray said he signed up for Nashville but doesn't have any idea if he will get to do it. They pick about 2 weeks before the event and it depends on the shooting schedule of the actors whether or not they can be spared to go because they fly down on Thursdays and meet with the Hands On people and tour the city before the Saturday event. I'll probably get an email from the people here in about two weeks telling me who is coming from the show to participate in Nashville.

Thanks for the info! I totally agree wih Aimtel, don't stop posting because of what people think or say. I have been very close to stopping for the same reason. Then I thought, heck no, I'm just as entitled to my opionons as anyone else. I am very tender hearted though and have a hard time when people act sarcastic or mean about something I have posted just for fun. But, I am learning to just let it go and ignore that kind of stuff. Heck, there are a lot of times I will post something and no even makes any kind of comment either nice or otherwise. So, I just post what I think and a few of the spoilers I come across and if people want to comment that is fine, if not that is fine too. I'm just here for entertainment and to keep up with the light. I have to work and can hardly ever make it home to watch, so reading the daily updates and message board keeps me up to date. Thanks again for the info and I am jealous that you get to go work with all of these neat people. Keep up the good work.

PelphreyPosse, I am so excited to see you posting again. I so enjoy reading your posts. I would like to do one of the helping hands. But money is tight and they always seem to work in the south and New York. I would love to see them come to the Colorado area. How do you find out where they all are going to be?
Please don't stop posting what you experience at them and the conversations you have. I think more people than you think enjoy reading your posts. I remember a couple of months ago you had close to 5000 views, thats more than I have ever seen on this board.
Again, I am so happy to see you posting again - I for one love reading what you write.

dmcg Thanks for the nice words. You can find out all the info on the website www.Findyourlight.net When it comes up there are several topics on the left: one is Experience the light, when you click on it there is a calendar that runs from left to right on the months of the year. Click on September and you will see Nashville, there is a place to volunteer, it will tell you for the last 4 months of the year that it is full but if you are close enough to get to one, they will let you work if you drive a good distance to get to the event. It is well worth the effort.

:) I enjoy getting additional GL information too. Don't stop.
