Celebrating 70 years is a dim light

Why not bring back the veterans characters like HOLLY,Philip, BLAKE, MINDY, HAWK, ROXIE, SHANE AND MARAH and someone to play Roger Thrope rip Michael Zaslow..These characters are as much part of the history that has made gl.Maybe EW AND DK needs to find their light and get the soap core characters back on and involve them w/ new characters and that will put a spike in the ratings and give us storylines with substance and characters we so dearly care about.

Well I agree with you. But as long as they are bringing back characters...why not bring back Danny (Paul Anthony Stewart *ONLY PAUL*...no other actor could play danny as well as him)...and Michelle (played by any actor...since she is already a recast). I MISS MANNY SOOOO MUCH! They are still my fave couple even though they are not on the show! LOL. Is there any way that the writers would consider bringing them back??? I LOVE MANNY!!!

I loved them too...i hated when Michele went after Tony and broke Danny's heart...I have to say I did enjoy Danny with marina though....

I HATED Marina and Danny together...I just hated Danny with anyone thats NOT Michelle!!! I hated Michelle with Tony too...I HATE seeing MANNY without each other! I was really glad that they got back together and had their last wedding (hopefully). I really wish thay they would come back...not forever because I don't wanna have to see another divorce and a 6th marrige for them! I want them to come for a visit for a few weeks...just so we could see their faces...ESPESCIALLY Paul Anthony Stewart! LOL. I LOVE MANNY!

PS. I loves Marah and Tony too!!!

Out of the 70 years the GL has been broadcasting , I have been listening and watching it for over 60 years. I have never not liked this soap. My mother listened to it from the beginning, and she and I loved to discuss it together. Through the years, I have never left this soap. There have been so many good storylines in it. Some days are diamonds, some days are coal. I hang in there thorough thick or thin. Diamonds, or coal, makes so difference to me. Love this soap, always will!!!!

I do agree with some of your bring backs,But to me some just can not bo replaced and one is Roger Thrope.Hang in there you will see Blake soon.

That would be a great tie in with 70 years, bringing back old characters. Michael Zaslow was a GREAT Roger!! I'd like to see quite a few back. Great topic!

I think (Hope) The Light will get Bright again.Keeping my fingers crossed anyway.I agree it would help to bring back some of the older cast.They just need to do whatever they have to do ,to get GL's ratings back up!!!
