I think Billy is drinking because of Reva.I think Billy really loves Reva but he knows deep down that Reva loves Josh and she always will.And now she is with Jeffery and Billy wants to be the hero for Reva again,But i do believe there will come a time when Reva will need Billy again and i think he will turn her away.

Reva never lead Billy on, he found out and helped her on his own and she asked him not to a number of times. She never told Billy she was in love with him, and was only going to marry him because she felt like she owed it to him. She's in love with someone else, and to sleep with him would be wrong because she doesn't feel the same way he does.

Is there anything that isn't Reva's fault? He can't get someone else? He started drinking on his own, and he STARTED because Josh went to prison.

I get so sick of coming here sometimes. It's no fun

I don't but debating something that makes not sense to me is pointless.

I'm not blaming the Billy's alcoholism on REVA "Free Sex" Shayne. Boy, that would be dumb! However, I'm blaming REVA because she did taunt and lead Billy on. REVA knows his problem with addiction. Addictive personalities do not differentiate much between one addiction and another. Billy is addicted to REVA and has been for many, many years. She's his first love, after all.

So, knowing this, why would she deal so intimately with an alcoholic with completely unresolved issues from their past? Only because she doesn't think anything other than her personal pleasure. How dare she say to Billy that "Jeffrey is hard to walk away from"? That was a real slap in the face. She's so cruel to him. She didn't find it too difficult to walk away from Billy and Josh more than enough times when it suited her (independence). The one successful time that Billy actually was a true hero was when he saved REVA's life, but he got no accolades from that other than a "gee, thanks" from Ms. "Free Sex."

I feel for him. After he was totally rejected by REVA after saving her life and keeping her awfully ridiculous secret, he felt that there was no reason to be nice and kind and generous any longer. He's given up. He's self-destructing while REVA giggles on her cellphone with her latest in a long long long line of men. Nice work, REVA!

PS: Was there a reason ever given for Billy becoming an alcoholic? Was it because REVA left him high and dry (and lied about Dylan, their baby)?

I would 't blame Cassie either. What ever happened to adults being responsible for their own actions?

Who gave him a bottle? Who? No one. If he's so stupid- YEAH STUPID and vulnerable that someone else moving on with their life makes him drink his away then forget him.

Like Billy is the freakin beacon of morality.

Billy became and alcoholic because he likes to drink to much and can't handle it. Reva has/ had nothing to do with that. No one but Billy can be responsible for what he's done to himself.
