When Harley thought Gus was dead, she turned to Mallet. These two have a past together. Mallet was a good friend to her throughout the searching for Gus. Whenshe realized Gus, could be gone, Mallet was ther to comforther. I don't think Harsley was cheating on Gus, she and Mallet just let that night happen. When Guswas found alive , she had a lot of remorse about her and Mallet. She did not set out out have an affair with Mallet, she was grieving and he was comforting her. Many people turn to sex when in a grieving state. They find it comforting and it just happens. Stuff happens in life. It always does not need to be deliberate, it again, just happens. I feel this is how the writers wanted us to know about her and Mallet. Gus, forgave her, and moved on with their marriage. Harley will remember this and forgive Gus. Natalia was half to blame too. She knew he was married, but she just didn't care, she wanted Gus. ( and who wouldn't)

I think Harley did cheat on Gus. Not just because she and Mallet had sex though. Rather, it was the months and months of Harley flirting with Mallet and kissing him and fatasizing about him and telling him that she still loved him that convinced me that Harley would have slept with Mallet one way or the other, alive Gus or dead Gus.

And

Harley did all of that stuff before Gus ever disappear with Alan. Harley even had a fantasy while she and Gus were making love, that Mallet was sitting on the end of the bed watching them. And we shouldn't forget that Harley and Mallet started all of this less than a week after she and Gus returned home from their honeymoon!

Gus & Natalia were each others first loves. They are so drawn to each other for that reason. Your first love stays in your heart forever. It seems like Natalia was never involved with anyone other than "Nick"/Gus so for her he is her one & only love. She has been saying she only took care of Rafe & worked since Gus left her. It isn't surprising she was so willing to be intimate with him. She remained stagnant & never moved passed where he left her.
