I agree - I can't figure out why he married Alexandra in the first place unless he was afraid she would turn him in for trying to steal her pearls.

I don't feel for Alex. She clearly had this planned from the start. She also knew how Cyrus and Marina felt for each other. I don't even know where they are going with this story, But if they want us to believe him and Alex will fall in love. They are sadly mistaken.
