"Or is that something they say to keep you from getting what's yours?"

"No one gives you anything in this world. You have to take it."

OMG! I re-watched Weds. episode, and those were two of the lines from Olivia's soliloquy. (I will watch it again. That was my favorite episode in recent memory! Solid script and acting fireworks from everyone involved!) Those line was positively Tennessee Williams-ian and theatrical. They also spell out the character of Olivia in a way that I could not have in 90 pages. She's such a fantastic character! I feel the exact same way.

Who drew the line? Why? What was the motive behind drawing the line? Why is it that crossing the line altruistically is better than crossing the line for selfish reasons. I say being selfish is honest. Olivia is honest with herself.

I don't think CC will ever have such a juicy character anyplace else. If she ever leaves, I will surely cry.

That's right, if you want something in life you gotta take it. There is no line- that's BS. She was totally right.

And with every action you take the consequences. That's why she's alone and has to blackmail someone th throw a man her way.

She doesn't have to blackmail REVA, but why miss a good opportunity? I'd have been so p@ssed off at Olivia if she didn't give REVA a good grilling and make her uncomfortable. Olivia initially didn't want to go the blackmail route; she wanted to tell Lizzie that her baby is alive. But after listening to REVA's argument to keep it "private," she decided to make REVA pay for her deceit. Now Olivia is in bed with Jonathan and REVA (something I abhor, but sometimes you must a deal with the devil in the red dress to get something done for yourself).

I blew Olivia a kiss last week just for that decision.

I think Olivia is very honest with herself. She does crazy things for crazier reasons. But I like her. You know whenever she's around, there's going to be some drama. She draws lines, crosses lines, and everything in between. She's a perfect match for Reva. I hope the slapping starts soon, I'm getting bored. I agree, Wednesday's show was the bomb!

I love the character for what she brings. No one brings this kind of drama in besides her. I don't like what she does, I think it's pathetic, borderline disgusting but I love the results. Nobody makes tv like Reva and Olivia.

They really are the next generation of Dorian and Vicki from OLTL. They even, in a brief way, recreate the Katherine vs. Jill strife from Y&R.

PS: I'm so upset with that show for dismantling all those years of story by making them a loving mother-daughter duo. That was disgusting.

LOL Great analogy! Olivia, has always crossed over the linewith every man she has been with in SF. She did it with Josh, Alan, Phillip ,Buzz, and now Jeffrey. What a lonely woman she is, but,it is always of her own doing. She self-destructs!!! She, will always be alone, even Ava will finally wise up to her and leave her alone!

The words AVA and WISE shouldn't ever be in the same sentence.

:) The last time I was obsessed w/ a soap was the Luke & Laura adventure and love story. I watch GL now because the Reva storyline caught me right in the heart..
I feel the Jeffrey/Reva s/l is the greatest. In any great love story you need an advisary to push it along...come on Olivia...keep pushing a little longer.
One of the reasons L&L became a love legend was that everyone was against them and it only made their love so strong it is still alive today. They rose above rape and a host of other nasties, they stayed a love couple & they will die a love couple. This last may sound like a push for Jeffrey & Olivia but let me assure you it is NOT. Olivia is way too emotionally damaged to enter into any relationship w/out sabotaging it. Reva has emotional depth and staying power.
Yes, the playboy & sl_t of SF can be that kind of magic.

I very seldom agree with you on anything (except your comments about #1 Alexandria/India)but you make me smile between frowns. your sense of humor tickles me it's almost like one of mine and my husbands heated debates... if you don't mind me asking, how old are you? you know alot of the old characters, as I do. I just turned the Big 50

We can't forget Stephanie Forrester and Brooke Logan as an epic "I hate your guts" duo (B&B)They're still going strong hating each other. I think it may even be going to another level.
