OMG! I watched the movie this past weekend, and TP was absolutely born to play the role of Stan Kowalski. I forgot about this film. If anyone could fill Marlon Brando's extremely large shoes fully is TP. He has all the acting tricks: the slurred speech, the strut, the lingering stares, the coarseness and the quick temper. |

Is there a Streetcar revival on Broadway? If there isn't, then someone needs to sponsor one right now with TP as the headlining attraction. Hey Delonjo, Is "TP" Tom Pelhrey?? If so, what channel or network did you see him? I would love to see that young man in any role |

No no. I watched the 1952 "Streetcar" with Marlon Brando the other day on Turner Classics, I think. |

That's his dream and why he isn't on contract with GL. He wants Broadway. |

Me, too but you can't blame him for chasing his dream. His problem is that he is too good at what he does and makes fans wherever he goes and everyone would love to see him back on the show for good. But I knew from the very first that he was too talented to stay very long. Those touched with "the gift" will always move on to bigger and better things. I just wish he would get something soon so that we would all have something to watch him in again. His coming back was not to tease the fans but because the storyline made sense, checking on his mom and getting some closure with Tammy (good memories to replace the hospital death bed scene in his mind.) He will come back if the story warrents and his schedule permits. It is still his home. |

I had thought of the idea of Tom Pelphrey playing the Brando role in "Street Car Named Desire" also! That was in the fifties, of course, and Stanley Kowalski made Marlon Brando the toast of N. Y....then, of course, he had his choice of roles in Hollywood and elsewhere...I don't know if today there is a comparable part for a young actor on Broadway that would cause the same meteoric stardom as for Brando...would wish for it for Tom, however, as he is as everyone knows, a exceptional and unique young actor...jdvermeer |
