How did Cassie and Jeffery meet and what happened when they did?

They actually met when he was "playing" Richard in San Cristobel long ago when she was married to the real Richard. He was impersonating Richard, but she thought it was really Richard. Once he came to Springfield, they re-met and , after they began dating, he confessed to her that he impersonated Richard and actually slept with her, unbeknownst to her he was an imposter. Anyway, that revelation led to her eventually breaking up with him.

if memory serves, Jeffrey was a special prosecutor/da type guy brought to SF fr NY and he walked into Olivia/Cassie's hotel the beacon-of course, Cassie was deeply affected by his resemblance to her late beloved husband Richard. She realized fr talking to him he was nothing like his look-a-like. He acted like a jerk-

New District Attorney Jeffrey O'Neill arrived in Springfield in May 2003, and immediately butted heads with Cassie Winslow. A dead ringer for her deceased husband, an unsympathetic Jeffrey had charges brought up against her daughter, Tammy, when she and friends stole an impounded vehicle and accused Cassie of being a bad mother. Forced to drop the charges due to the fact that the car was not officially impounded, he refused to apologize and continually frustrated Cassie with his abrupt manner.

I loved Jeffrey and Cassie when LW was playing Cassie, but now I would love to see Jeffrey and Olivia as a couple.

I agree Cassie just doesn't sizzle with Jeffrey like the one before which is why I'm a fan of Olivia and Jeffrey as a complicated couple.
