Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

I would never dream that this would be so hard to get used to. My whole schedual was around GUIDING LIGHT coming on at 3pm then fix dinner have it ready by 4:45pm when my husband of 34 yrs come home from work. I know this sounds insane but its true!Is there anyone else going through this?
I can't tell you how many times I have sat down to *watch* Reva, Josh, Billy,the whole Guiding Light gang.
I wonder if the cast is missing the show as much as we are.I hope they all remain close and be friends forever. Just like the family that we all love and miss dearly.

I'm right there with you. I do feel lost without our fav soap. I think we all had a schedule revolving around the GL. I would come back from my aerobic class at 9, make a pot of coffee, read the paper and sit back to watch the light. Now that the light has gone out, I feel a great loss! This is unbelievable how we all feel about losing the GL. It has left a hole in our hearts. If someone would have told me I would grieve over a soap, I would not have believed it, but, here I am, grieving! It is one month already, and I just can't get over the fact, that we lost our favorite soap. I don't watch CBS until 12:30 when Y & R comes on the TV. Then off it goes, not to be watched all day and all night. CBS, that is!!!

Guiding Light going away has left a hole in my day.You are by no means alone.I'm sure long time cast members miss the show too.They filmed the show everyday for years.

I don't watch ANYTHING ON CBS since they took GUIDING LIGHT off. We get YOUNG and RESTLESS on SOAPNET here on the east coast. I can watch at 7 pm... 12m... 6 am. On sat.eve you can watch the whole wks episodes to catch up if you miss any.Too bad they didn't pickup the GUIDING LIGHT. I bet if you have satalite dish you could pick it up on some other channel other than CBS. HAPPY SURFFING if you do!

i am going through the same think. when i was in college i rearranged my classes around the time of guiding light (pretty sick) i still think its on my dvr when i go to watch my recordings
