I have always admired Kim Zimmer for her acting abilities and the fact she is very out spoken. I agreed with some of her views regarding what caused the demise of the show, but at the same time I didn't like the fact she gave former executive in charge of productions Mary Alice Dwyer( aka MADD) so much credit. That women help to destroy GL and she was not a very nice person either and for those of you who have watched GL for many years know what I am talking about. Back in 1996 when the late Michael Zaslow ( Roger Thorpe) was showing signs of illness he was fired from the show. TPTB could have wrote his illness into the show, but refused! MADD said that Michael Zaslow was a wizned old man! I found this to be very appalling. If MADD have of been smart she would of had the writers put together this ground breaking story together. If I was a writer at that time i would have written it to where Ed Bauer( Roger's long time nemesis) would have treated Roger and made called a truce. Roger would then made peace with all the people he did wrong. When Zaslow left, thats when I being to lose interest in the show. MADD was evil. And that was 12 years ago and the show had problems. I honestly don't think Ellen Wheeler would be that cruel. Yeah she made some poor choices, but MADD made more I think. I respect Kim Zimmer, but I have to disagree with her on that topic.

I'll never forget that whole Michael Zaslow debacle. It was such a shame. One Life To Life really stepped up to plate and showed that phenomenal actor the respect he deserved when they brought him back as his character there (somebody Rinaldi, or close to that.....I'm not an OLTL fan, so I'm not sure of his character's name, but I was always impressed by how well OLTL treated Zaslow while he was sick with ALS).

I was a GL and OLTL fan at the time, and he gave incredible performances on OLTL. I totally agree that it was such a shame that GL decided to get rid of him.
