I just wanted to post my last thoughts after watching the show yesterday. It was with mixed feelings as the end came near. I now understand one reason why Alan had to die- For Fletcher to return to comfort Alex. My tears yesterday were for just the ending of the show.
When Reva and Josh drove off together, I thought it the perfect ending. I do feel sorry for Jeffrey fans. I liked him with Reva too. But once Josh professed his love for Reva to Billy, I knew it had to be. Those of us watching for over 25 or in my case 30 years probably are having the best reaction to the ending. You must know all storylines from the near beginning to now to appreciate each characters ending. I am at peace.

Peace must be nice. It's gonna take me awhile to get there. My dog died over a year ago and I'm still not at peace with that. I guess I need to think of it the way you do.

I agree, (started watching in the mid 70's), but it's just too much a lose end with Jeffrey running around out there like Rambo. I do like Josh & Reva together the best, but you have to wonder, if somewhere down the line, Jeffrey will just show up.
