It was a nice show. I don't thing the instant pairings were a good idea. And there were loose ends left unresolved. But not enough time to do that, I guess. I would have like it if they had put the last show on prime time also! |

Loved the ending. I am so glad that Josh and Reva ended up together even though they had to wait a year. When I heard the word "Always" it was the ending it was supposed to be between Josh and Reva. I have to admit I was surprised that they ended up together. I thought Jeffery was going to come back to Reva and Josh and Reva would only be friends. Thank you writings for such a great ending. The writers were so creative on how the characters said their "goodbye" in many ways such as a death, going to the army, going on a cruise, going off to college, and leaving town. Very nice conclusion and I will miss the show very much. I especially will miss Josh and Reva and hope I see them on another soap. |

If it had to end, I am very happy with the way everything came together and all of our favorites getting their happy ending. I just hope that the cast of GL know how much they have mean't to all of us, having them there everyday has help see many of us through some dark times, THANKS for the LIGHT.. |

I think the end was wonderful. I loved the beginning with all the different introductions and "The End" at the end. I wish they would have mentioned Jeffrey though-are we just supposed to believe he abandoned his wife & son to go around the world chasing bad guys or that he died? What was the purpose of bringing him back after the memorial service if he was not to reunite with Reva? Can't say I wanted Josh & Reve together in the end because I hate Reva but I'm glad to the fans to get what they wanted. I absolutely loved Dinah & Mallet (duh my Aviator) so I really appreciated that part. Farewell Guiding Light I will miss you! |

Quote mamarock: With a big sigh....I can say I do have a smile on my face. I finally got closure on GL today. Mamarock, that was so beautiful. It was perfect. You and Merrymary should really take up writing. I really enjoy reading your all's post. It is like you all are sitting here talking. Speaking of mush on Monday. When the show ended today, I told my husband that he had a new job--finding something to keep me busy everday at 3:00. I still can't believe it is over.
I have watched since 1956, but the last ep, IMO, was beautifully done. I liked the fast forward to a year later. The final day that I have dreaded for months is over, and I can say to the writers...kudos, job well done! PS~~~But, I can not say truthfully, if Monday at 2:00 I will not disolve into a river of mush. To all the actors, from the beginning to the end *applause*, for each of you gave me beautiful memories of Guiding Light that CBS or anyone can never take away from me! GL lives forever in my heart, and in that special place called my imagination.... |

Having come in just a few weeks ago, it was really surprising to find myself weeping openly while watching the final show. |

Quote Phillygirl06: Quote Beeloo03: I just mentioned this in another post.....I loved it, too...the only thing I wish they would have done was at the very end, fade to black while showing Bert Bauer's picture or the other old timers like HB Lewis, Henry Chamberlain or Roger Thorpe. I'm heartsick that the show has come to an end. Yeah I was a bit surprised they didn't do a little stroll down memory lane type thing or something. But Reva and Josh and "always" by the light house and everyone being were they should be left me with nothing but happiness and I can feel closure now. I just have to still mourn, but at least now I can do it with a light heart. Ellen Wheeler (Exec Producer)stated they didn't have time to do "flashbacks." I would have LOVED to have seen the old timers too! |

Quote jbwbubba: I liked the ending, I thought they might break the 4th wall and speak to the audience and say goodbye. That's exactly what I thought they'd do! That would've been WOnderful!!!!! |

Quote LuvsChilly: When Josh and Reva were driving off and they showed the light house and then the words "THE END" the waterworks started and haven't stopped. I am really going to miss it. Well, now I just started tearing up again. |

Other than the fact I wish they had at least two hours, I thought it was very satisfying. I wish all the best in the world to those wonderful actors and actresses. Whimper. |
