It would do some good if we could get another book about G/L. I got the book of Jonathon's story and would love to be able to wait to read about what's going on in Springfield. This sould have been in the making, sure hope someone thought of it.It's gonna be so hard for so many people who will miss our show. When Jonathon left, it took me like months to be ok with it. Seemed like months anyway. When the book came out I couldn't put it down. IMO, they owe us that much. Come on Write us a book and let us know how things are going in Springfield. Please, it could help some of us with the pain of not seeing our friends anymore.I would treasure a book of Guiding Light.

I totally agree, I too loved Jonathan and they wrote a book about him, it would be wonderful if they would do that and let us have more of this story and these characters we do love so. Give us a book or books. Let us know what happen to Jeffrey, let us see Jonathan, Rick, Matt and the rest of the single bunch find love and happiness. Come on CBS you owe us that much. Writers come on. You took the #1 soap away. Be super great for a movie now and then to see them all, guess thats wishful thinking.

A book would be great. Going all the way back to the beginning plots on the radio. It would help me because I have watched since I was very young, but with kids and job I have missed some of the plots. Could someone help me catch up? How did Ross Marler die? What happened to Maureen B? Who is Daisy and why does she call Reva Grandma? Why is Rafe a Spaulding? The last time I saw Cassie she was dating Jeffery and now he is married to Reva?? Who was Blake's Dad? He was mentioned when Holly just came back for the finale. Where are Harley and how did Gus die? What happened to Coop? HELP!

Here are some answers for you.
First, Ross died in an airplane crash. Maureen died in an automobile accident, Cassie called it quits with Jeffrey, and Reva married him last year, after Cassie left town. Blake's dad was Roger Thorpe. Gus died in a Motorcycle accident and finally, Harley left the show. Oh, Coop died in firey car accident. Whew, lots of info her, hope this clears it up for you.

That is a terrific idea!! I would hope that they would listen to the fans and do the book/books justice to the history of the characters. I read that book too, just recently actually, and loved it. It explained a lot that we didn't get to see or hear about on GL. If I had a glass of bubbly right now, I would toast to my old friend, Guiding Light. What a helluva ride! You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. Especially if we fans have anything to say about it. I'm going to watch the final episode now and cry with millions of others....

Good idea ! Maybe the writer that wrote Jonathan's Story would consider this idea. We all would like to follow our favorite characters for awhile longer, maybe until they all grow old, like us!

I started a thread a few days back on this very subject titled SUGGESTION-GL-BOOK. But no response from any one on it. I did not no if any one shared my feelings on this, so thank you LuluJones for bringing this up again I was begining to think I was the only one that felt that way. I think books would make it easier for us since we cant watch the Guiding Light now.
Thank you

I think that this is a great idea. Today when Beth gave Phillip a gift, a diary of sorts I'm guessing since she told him that he should write down everything that he was feeling, I thought maybe that's a hint that we will get a book. Just my thinking, but who knows?

wouldnt it be great to get our character on print. I would like to see a series come out of this, they could continue GL in a monthly paperback novel. I would love to see this, i would rush to the store to buy it.

Every month they could highlight a different character as the main storyline but catch you up on what everyone else is doing in Springfield. This way they could bring all the characters back in print, all the bauers, reardons, lewis', everyone would get storylines. Every character or their offsprings and relatives to keep the storylines going. I will still miss my GL on tv very much but this would help.

Your welcome. Sorry I didn't see that post or would have answered you. I know there is alot of posters on this board who could write a book for us. Sorry I can't remember their names but a few posters can and have come up with some great story lines. Bizziefan and Tammer seems to come to mind, and Tammyfan. I think they are the ones who came up with good stories and good job to those I have forgotten also.

I would be SO interested in a book or a series about the town and its characters. I didn't read the Jonathon/Tammy one but since this show is now over, we REALLY need something to hang on to.
