Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

Ever since I was in kindergarten, I have watched Guiding Light. I would come home from school, go to my grandmothers and lay on her floor and watch it until it was over. I would cry if my mom said we was leaving before the show was over! And now, Here I am 20 years later, still watching and crying because its going off! My 5 month old daughter watched it with me now, its SO cute!
Why can't they take b&b off or just move guiding light to another channel! This really sucks! I wish it wasn't going off!

I, too, have watched GL since I was in 5th grade (in the '50's). I have tried to keep up with all the plots but with children and job - I have missed some stuff that I hope someone can help me with. How did Ross Marler die? What happened to Maureen B? Who is Daisy and why does she call Reva Grandmother? Where is Harley and how did Gus die? Why is Rafe a Spaulding? The last time I saw Cassie she was dating Jeffery - the next think I know Reva is married to him. HELP!!

I feel the same way!! I have been watching this for 35+ years and I can't believe it's now "gone". NOOOO!!!!

I have such fond memories of sitting with my mom in the livingroom while she folded laundry and watched GL. As I got older, I would rush in from school and sit down for the 3pm showing. In later years, it changed here to 10am, but that didn't matter......I still watched my beloved GL at that time, and when I was working fulltime, the VCR (I'm dating myself with that one, LOL), was ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS programmed to tape the CBS soaps......but GL was always my very favorite because I just felt like I KNEW those characters.

I agree about B&B.......that show is so over the top and goofy, that I wish it would have been pulled instead. I would NOT have mourned like I'm doing now. Uuugh!!!
