First time Reva Shayne and Joshua(Bud)Lewis hit the screen together... it was a match for the soap opera ages. SUCH sizzle when they were together. I never bought into any other relationship with those two. I was VERY happy with the ending.. and couldn't care less what happened to Jeffrey. I've watched GL since 1962 when I was a kid spending the summer with my cousin. When Reva and Josh came on the scene... what a dynamic pairing. Thank you GL writers for the perfect ending for them. Thank you RN and KZ for all the terrific acting. You're both in the SOAP history books now.. but what a team! |

Quote rogerthorpe: Quote Mrs.JamesSpaulding: They left that open..why did they end it without knowing what happened to him and Edmund? and Grady? Lizzie and James knew he was dead but they went on acting like they knew nothing Well...that WAS odd, but I can't imagine anyone really cares. My only problem with the past few weeks was this ridiculous Jeffrey/Edmund debacle. They should have left Jeffrey - AND EDMUND - dead and been done with it. As for Grady..again..I think even less people care about that. He got what he deserved, and as it turned out..he wasn't even really Cyrus' brother. Overall, aside from being severely bummed out, I was more than satisfied with the ending. Seems the majority of fans got what they wished for. I agree--the ending w/Josh & Reva would have been more believeable if Jeffrey really did end up being killed, along with Edmund. |

Quote LillyFairy: The perfect Jeffery Ending: As Josh and Reva are driving away in HB's old truck, the camera pans to the window in the lighthouse and two silhouettes. Then the camera shot changes to inside the lighthouse and it's Jonathan and Jeffery. Jonathan says, "Are you really going to let this happen.., it's been over a year, why don't you find a way to tell her?" Jeffery replies, (in a sad voice) "You know I can't Jonathan; you know that Edmund has orders to have them killed if I expose myself to her. I just can't take that chance." Jonathan says, "Yeah I know, but it's really got to hurt to see them drive away together." Jeffery replies, "It hurts more than you can possibly imagine.., but all I ever wanted was for them to be safe and happy.., showing up in their lives now would only hurt them. Can I count on you to keep this secret Jonathan? Jonathan replies, "If it's the only way to keep my mother and Collin safe, I'll take it to my grave." They shake hands and Jeffery puts his sunglasses back on as Jonathan exits down the stairs. Jeffery leans against the window sill, looks down at the truck, sighs, and softly states, "I'll always be watching over you.., I will never let anyone hurt either of you; be happy Reva, be happy." The scene goes back to Josh and Reva smiling at each other and driving off into the sunset. The End. It would have taken less than one minute and settled everything. Geeze.., stupid writers. I have watched GL for 31 years.., how dare they leave any of it open. I'll remember my version.., it's better than the "pro's" version. I love your ending, I wish you had been the writer for the ending scene. I cry inside for Jeffrey because too many fans do not go inside the outside events and so doing, miss a great deal of the experience. As I wrote in my post on the same subject......Jeffrey is the GL (phamtom) HERO. |

Your ending sounds a lot better than what the writers came up with, I swear the fans know the characters better than the writers and we could of written a better ending ourselves; like yours. thanks for your input |
