Guiding Light has been part of my life as long as I can remember, and I'm 63. |

I am so sad over losing GL. It became like family to me, and now I feel like a death has occurred. |

I've cried so much, I gave myself a sinus infection!! you are correct, some happy tears, some sad tears. I haven't watched the last show yet, that will be tonight. I'm too afraid to read any more posts in fear of getting a glimpse, so I will check back this weekend. I know we will all need to be consoled in the coming weeks. |

I too have been crying for 2 weeks, especially this week. I am 49 yrs. old, I can not remember not watching Guiding Light. If I wasn't home it was recorded, most time I recorded as I watched, in case I wanted to see it again. I sometimes watch the other CBS soaps, but none compare to Guiding Light and I just could not get into them, I was always into GL. I never thought it could be possible to hurt over losing a show like this. But it feels like the death of a long time 4ever friend or family. I absolutely love these characters, Reva, Jonathan, Josh, Jeffrey/Prince Richard, Phillip and Beth, Rick, Frank, Buzz, Lillian, Billy, Bill, Lizzie, Ashley, Rafe, also Tammy, old Cassie, Coop, Gus and Harley. These were my all time favs, And Alan turned out good in the end I ended up liking him, I just loved them all, I love the humor in this show. I have laughed, and cried thru it all. This is in deed a sad day for us Guiding Light devoted fans. We will never get to see them all together in a story line again. it is just heartbreaking to me. I wish all of them the best and I thank each one of them for being a part of my life in this wonderful soap opera. I am really considering not watching any soaps any more. I am really mad at CBS and Proctor and Gamble, I think it was a stupid move and a bad mistake. And you may lose a lot of viewers and buyers. It would be great to see a book or books to keep the characters going even better a movie sometimes, they owe us loyal viewers that much. Any way I will close now as I get ready to watch the final episode and yes get ready to cry again. I love you guiding Light and all u Stars and all involved, Thank you for growing up with me, |

I have been crying too. I don't think any of the other Soaps are nearly as good as GL. In fact, Y&R use to be my favorite but they drag out their plots too long! Goodbye Gl,my old friend. Life won't be the same without you!! |

%( watched the last episode today and I had to cry. I have been watching guiding light since I was 12 and I am now 59. It breaks my heart to not be part of their lives anymore. I always held out hope that somehow the show would be able to continue. I feel sad and sick!! How can they just END something that has been part of thousands of our lives?. I just can't believe it's really over! I feel like I am mourning a DEATH and I hate it!!!.5 days a week these people come into our homes and become like family to us and then just like nothing they are gone. I am sorry but I am having a very hard time with this and I think it stinks!!! |

I'm 51 and started watching Guiding Light at 18. My days will be very empty without that show. So sad. |

I have been watching Guiding Light since I was in my teens with my Mom. I am now 65 and my Mom passed away three years ago. She would be so sad to hear that GL is no longer around. I feel so sad that when "The End" was shown, I just sat there for the longest time expecting to see the previews for next week. Even though, it was indeed a "happy" ending, I feel a void just like when you lose someone dear to you. I wish the cast members, the crew and all of the fans many happy memories of our favorite soap. It won't be the same without Guiding Light. |

I too have been crying for 2 weeks now. I used to watch this with my grandmother who passed away 2 1/2 years ago. I thought it was the perfect ending...Always. I know she would have loved it as well. |
