in our lives.
WE are all unhappy about the ending of our favorite soap. We have been loyal fans for many years, 60,50,40,30, and all the years in between. We have our favorite chracters, loved them hated them, watched them leave, come back, and go. But, we didn't leave, we stayed true to our fav story. Many of you have a favorite memory of when you watched the show. My first grandson was named Joshua. My daughter-in-law and I were big Josh fans, and we loved the name. He is now 24 years old now. I have a friend that named her child Cassie. So many good memories to think of while remembering the GL.
So, for now we are all sad, but, we will get through this loss and move on, as we are all survivors in this trial of life. Tomorrow will be sad when the finale comes, but we WILL SURVIVE!!! No Let's make a Deal for a lot of us!!!!

I have have two of my kids named after Spauldings, one after an actor from the ATWT. I keep having in my head the ending song from the old Carol Burnett show..."I'm so glad we had this time together,Just to have a laugh, or sing a song.Seems we just get started and before you Know it Comes the time we have to say, "So long"." Just did not think the so long would really come and it would be this hard. I will not watch the new game show that will take over the GL spot.

What two names did you choose, just curious. That is, if you don't mind telling us.

The name thing is interesting! My BIL has 2 girls named after soaps. A Jacki from GL and a Nikki from Y&R. One of the girls just had a baby and named him Reed, inspired by Y&R.

Yes, we should all be glad that we had our GL for so many years. We have so many warm, loving memories that will live in our hearts forever and no one can ever take those away. Plus, on this board, we have been blessed with making so many great friendships. Friendships that will last long after GL's last episode. And, yes, we are going to be so sad tomorrow when our GL ends, but together as friends we will get through this.
While, my boys aren't named after anyone on GL, I have had a family cookout every 4th of July since I got married thanks to years of growing up with the Bauer B.B.Q.
NO LET'S MAKE A DEAL!!

I started watching GL with my babysitter when I was 6 years old. She was in her late 60's. My mother had a fit. In looking back over the past 51 years, I remember so many people and story lines that I loved. In a slower, less crazy time...before computers and video games, we truly did live for each day and a new episode in our friends' lives. I will miss them so much.

I have a Brandon(for Brandon Spaulding). Elisabeth--(I thought Phillip's mom, Elizabeth was so classy). Then I have Alexander Grant----reverse it for my fav!! I also have a Grayson, from Dusty from ATWT. My husband did not pick up on this until years later:)Hee Hee:)

I fell in love with Josh for his curly hair and pretty blue eyes; at least I think they were blue.

I have a daughter named Natalie Nicole - Natalie from Tom Hughes first wife Natalie (ATWT); and Nicole from Nicole (Edge of Night). I didn't think anyone could play the part of Alan Spaulding after the first Alan died, but I was wrong. Ron Raines did a superb job of playing the character of Alan Spaulding.
