Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

How about this idea. Weave GL cast into ATWT. How about say Buzz and Lillian move to Oakdale and open a second Company, later Marina and Shayne join them with baby Henry. Other characters could be weaved in over time. The Lewis could open a company there where Lizzie and Bill run it. Just a thought?????

Maybe some ATWT's producers read this stuff and will look at this idea. Maybe a post or suggestion could be made to them. This could happen I mean no more GL, but some of GL on ATWT since they are taking a hit in the polls.

what the point in doing that as the world turns is going off the air next year its on the chopping block there no point in doing that if its going to be gone next year, but last night i read some very interesting that proctor and gamble where looking at digital TV and they where planing on setting up a digital network but they want to wait unlit as the world turns leaves the network before they do it, that is the plans for proctor and gamble to set up a digital network and they feels that digital network is the future for soaps and the way to go if you want to keeps soap alive and going but the major networks dont want them so instead of getting rid of them they need a place where they can keeps going and digital nerwork its the way to keeps them alive and going

Well, Doris and Olivia visited Oakdale recently so it isn't far fetched and it does have history. When Another World was canceled super couple Jake and Vicky moved to Oakdale as well as a handful of visits from lawyer Cass (he also went to Springfield). But it has a downside, Vicky was killed when a couple of months and Jake died within a couple of years.

I wouldn't be surprised by an attempt to bring on one or two members of GL, but they have a stable of actors and characters on ATWT and like most soaps are having budget troubles. Tough to add stars now. I think Bill and Lizzie moving to Oakdale is a possibility.

I've read other posters bring up this idea, too. I would LOVE it! But it looks like CBS wants out of soap operas. I hope all the silly game shows that they are replacing them with sink the network! GL should have been the very last soap to be canceled! Where's the loyalty to a quality show that has been on the air for 72 years?! I feel anger and sadness because we are all losing our beloved show. At the same time I feel happiness and joy for being lucky enough to have watched the light with my Grandmother and my Mother for years. GL has a place in my heart and I will miss my daily escape with the Lewis', Spaulding's, and Cooper's for years to come!
