Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

We go from a happy day, to a really sad day. It is true, Alan is gone. Phillip is seen sitting beside Alan holding his hand. He calls Rick, and Rick confirms Alan's death. Meanwhile the wedding guests all go back to Company. They are all together and find out the news there. Phillp goes back to the Spaulding house and tells Alex and Beth. Lots of tears and denial here. Beth tells Peyton, who we finally see, live and in person! We see N and O in the kitchen, will Nat turn O into a Kitchen Diva, we'll just never know now! James and Daisy are laying in the grass undercover, and decide to go back to Co. This is where James hears about Alan. Rafe is going away today, so Nat is so sad over this. Buzz told him Alan wanted him to go, and he should go, serve his country. So long, Rafe. The news of Alan's death traveled fast. Reva, Lillian, oh, the tears by now. This death affects so many people in Springfield. Not a happy ending for the Spaulding family.This is a hard 43 minutes to watch today. So, I know we will be discussing it for many days to come. My kleenex box is running low!!!!
P.S. G.A. rocks! He had me in tears today. That man is an actor's actor!!!

I did not see this coming. What a way to go out. The man we love to hate, hate to love is gone. I've been crying for the last 2 shows.So sad but let me say I was so surprised today and still can't get over Alan's ending. Sure will miss everyone on the show. Alan you rock

I think I cried the entire episode at one thing or the other. You are so right about Grant A. Wow, what a performance. You would think it was his real father!! Looks like Jeffery and Reva will get back together unless they pull a fast one on us. I still can't believe only 2 more episodes!!

This was another tough episode from the beginning to the end. Grant was amazing again today.

Shocker we saw Peyton who appears to be Sarah's age. I actually thought she may have been the running up for the role of Sarah when they were casting.

i've been in aww all week long..the actors have done a wonderful job this week..

I have never really been a fan of Alan since the whole Tammy storyline..but i found myself crying for todays show..Grant aka phillip was wonderful..the emoitions looked so life like. when james walked up and huged phillip thats when my eyes started to water..then when Alex let go and broke down at the end i started balling, he died a hero and tha i think was the best way..great show today..wish it wasn't ending!!! damn you cbs!!!
