Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

I'm writing this with a very heavy heart. I have watched Guiding Light for over 38 years, It hit me today that we only have 3 days left of a show that I watched or taped everyday - I never missed one episode. It sounds funny to my husband but I know true GL fans will understand that GL wasn't just a soap it was like an extended family. I watched a little bit of As the world's turn today - and I asked myself what do all these other soaps that are still around have that GL doesn't have to stay on the air? Please tell me! I have to say after GL on Friday that will be the last soap I watch except for all the taped shows I have of GL. I wish there was a way that GL fans could keep the memorie or story line going. I really don't know what I will do for an hour each day now that the show will be gone. Any ideas for any lost gl fans.

When Alan told Alex he wanted to be cremated and his ashes spread around Springfield I though he would die in surgery. When they both survived I though good they are going to end on a happy note. I guess they wanted a funeral to bury our beloved G&L. they killed it so they wanted to bury it. If someone had to die I am glad it was not Rick or Phillip. If they thought a funeral was a good way for us to say goodbye they were wrong again.
