It's really like a tale out of two cities. It's the best of times and well, you know. It's so hard to watch but I can't not watch. I'd give anything if this weren't the end of the road. It's like losing a limb. . .

I really feel your pain. I started watching GL about a month ago because there was nothing else on at 10am. Got hooked in a week.

Contrasting GL and All My Children, where two GL alumni landed as Jake and Taylor...

Watching GL really explains the more natural line delivery that those two actors use. This is a very laid-back, but effective style shared by everyone on GL.

Well done. Sorry we are losing you, but all things must pass.

I have watched for 42 years and like you said it is like a whole life of pain to all of us. As I said in another post, this is not just a soap to all of us who have watched it all of our lives. It is part of our family and no one like losing family.

Yes, Merrymary, I too have always enjoyed your spoilers and previews of the days episodes. Like I've told you many times, you are a great writer. I get up every morning excited to read your previews. And Mamarock, I too thought this was going to be a good week and GL would end with all happy endings, but obviously they didn't think of the loyal longtime fans. I am in total shock. This was and is so wrong of them to do this to us.

I am 34 and watched since birth really. My mom always had it on every single day of my life. I feel like I am losing part of my self. That may sound corny, but all of you longtimers know exactly what I mean. This is just devastating.

Guiding Light has been a part of my life for 49 yrs. It is like losing a family member. I don't think people that don't watch the show can understand how painful it really is for us. As many have said, this show holds so many memories during my growing up years. It's still so unimaginable that Mon. the Light will not be on.
