Well, it looks like Alan passed quietly on the park bench listening to Philip talk.

Could it have gone any other way? I don't think so, and I've only been watching this for a month.

After everything he's done and everyone he's hurt, I'm still glad he didn't go in some horrific way. That's the way I would want to go if I had to go.

You should have put a Spoiler in your thread. A lot of posters don't want to know what happened before they watch the show.

I don't think Alan has died, I previously read Rick is going to die , I think he's going to die saving Alan's life. I really don't want to see Alan die , I luv his character the good and the bad that's waht makes this a soap opera.

If what you say is true, then it will be a shocker ending for me? Why, have anyone die, we needed to end with a lot of happiness.....Everyone else got a happy ending, why not Rick?????

ALLEN DIES!!!!!

I have watched this show for 56 years and listened to it on the radio before that and I get online and read where Alan died!! No, No, you need to spoiler it or do away with the thread. I have read everything I can get my hands on in the past few months and I never saw where Alan dies, in fact when he lived thru the surgery, I assumed we were home free!! Many times I would not have cared if he lived or died but did not want to read about it and there are many more like me...so if you could please some way warn us what we are about to read, I and the others would appreciate it. Thanks for the thought but it really upset me..

Like I said, but, no sense beating a dead horse, it is out now! That is why a spoiler needs to be in front of a new thread.

True Merry...your spoiler was the correct way to handle today's ep that many have not seen yet. Thank you for trying.

But let me beat the dead horse one last time....

I did not appreciate this thread being posted without a spoiler notice, boo and hiss.

I second that several times over!! It was for me, like watching a movie and someone telling me the ending of it after I sat and watched for 60+ years!!!! I live in Texas and the show starts at 2..so when someone that sees it earlier chooses to tell what happens it certainly spoils the ending, everyone does not watch it at the exact same time............ok I know dead horse here....shutting up now!!! Not happy but still shutting up!!

I'll beat it once again. I am hating the fact the show is ending and said I didn't want to read anything about the end. I never read anything if it says spoiler, it didn't. That really bummed me out. I couldn't wait to go home and watch the show...arrrggghhh! Enough whining.

I was a little surprised by Alan's apparent death. I saw Phillip walk up and begin talking and Alan didn't move and I blurted out "Alan's dead". I would love to think he will be revived, we did see an ambulance. But, I think he's gone. After everyone calling him a hero seemed to be destiny. Awesome work by Grant.

Of course now the show can end in true soap fashion and show that Alan isn't really dead.
