Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

%( G.L. was in trouble with poor ratings for some time I realize, but it seems to me after the show moved to that small town location, those shaky camera shots, and everybody not having a home , living at the Beacon, or just lurking in the park, at the lake, in the woods.... Pleeeeze !!! The show went to Hell the last couple years... The writing was unbelievable, and the props were left somewhere, but were surely needed to continue the Feel of the families. Some of those homes were a part of the show, I knew and expected to see the family interacting at meals, sleeping, just living in familure surroundings.... Like Rick's house, the upstairs B&B at Co., Reva and Josh's house, The Beacon Lobby, Lewis Oil offices, and other known places in Springfield.... Oh Yea, What about the Light House???? ........ Thus The Guiding Light ... Did they just think we simply forgot ??????????? they never even mentioned it again I was a long time viewer, enjoyed this show so much for sooo many years, just still feeling sadness(a little anger) at the shows dimise some time ago from poor writing, poor casting, to the Big Move to "Mayberry" USA...

i agree that the Camera format change had alot to do with the ratings...that was a big mistake..when jammy died i believe alot of our veiwers quit watching. i did for alomsot 4 months..theres alot of reasons why were loosing our fav soap..but theres nothig we can do about it but enjoy whats left and hope to see the stars somewhere else on daytime..but my heart is breaking with you as well

The writers must think the fans are Idiots or something. They have yet to tell us where Peyton is.

I believe the show lost scads of viewers during the first few weeks of the real life location shoots.The production for several months was as bad as it gets.It was tantamount to watching badly shot home movies.It did get better eventually but by then it was to late.To many viewers were already gone.It all came down to money.CBS and PG did not want to spend the bucks to keep the show going so it slid into oblivion.
