How great! Loved that music and boy I think that Myrna is a pretty loose woman!!

Really, this is a wonderful bonus for us. I was born in '43 and I do remember the radio stories and Mom listening to them during the day. Then in the evening there were others. I always remember the sound of a horse running on the radio. I don't know what they used but I loved that sound.

Thank you, Matt. I listened to that clip with my eyes closed. It took me back to the time my mother would listen to the radio while she did her ironing. She got me hooked, and this has been my fav soap for many years. Thanks for the memories!!!

It was a VERY good year. I sometimes think it was about the last good time to be a kid and grow up in the 50's.

Ah, the Fifties. The most fun of all my years. The dance hops, the doo wop music, the poodle skirts, the boyfriends! Oh, I forgot the saddle shoes, penny loafers, with the penny in them. Oh, the memories. The drive-ins, the......... you know the rest!

Wow - merrymary, you bring back good memories. The 50's were good years to grow up, all the above and Elvis too, ahhhhhh!!

Matt, thanks for the radio show, that was interesting and I tried to imagine what the characters looked like. The man sounded like Jerry Douglas who played John on Y&R.

I fully agree with you calliope, even my two kids which are early 30's and 40's want to live back then. I try to share my happy memories with them when I can. How free and easy it was back in the "good ole days". Did not have to walk 3 miles in the snow barefooted like my dad always said he did,which by the way he did not,(we live in the Texas hill country, not a lot of snow here) but we did have some hard times, but I truly think that is why we are all good people that come from that time..I miss it..

Seems like this started a lot of people going down memory lane. Good post merrymary and LT. merrymary, I find it interesting that you are I assume Mary, as am I and we both have out little piggy avi...........
