Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

I am so glad I found this board almost five years ago. I have loved posting, and will continue to post after the GL goes off the air. I have enjoyed reading all of the posts, negative and positive, the agreeing and disagreeing of all the posters. We have lamented so many times over some of the bad storylines we have watched over all these years. The GL has been a friend to many of us for many years. We have laughed together over the years over some of the goofy stories, (Reva's cloning), The sad stories, (Reva's cancer), and the deaths of many of our favorite characters. I could go on and on about so many other issues we have discussed for so many years. I have made many new friends on this board. I have been a fan for 60 long years, and will miss this old friend that I have tuned in to see every day. To all of you, friends, I know we are all sad over the loss of our favorite soap but, when the GL is finally at its end, we will survive to write a lot more about it until we run out of words! WE need to keep the GL alive until we are through grieving about OUR favorite soap. Hang it there friends, we will get through this loss together. Friendship is like a rainbow between two or more hearts!

Its going to be hard,that is true,And like you I have watched GL for many many years.Now after Sept'18th,I want know what to do when its 3.00,Mon~Fri' Like you I have made alot of friends here,And I want to stay in touch with everyone.Grieving for GL will take us all along time,But together we can and will make it.We have 72 years of great s/l that we can chat about,Its always nice to remember way back when.So much has changed,so many wonderful Actor's have come and gone.Some we loved,and some we disliked,but all of the Actor's touched our on lives in some way.But yes together we will be ok.GL will always live in our hearts,Thats one thing that CBS~P&G will not be able to ever take away from us.

Merrymary, As usual thank you for another great post and thank you for posting previews for us. It is so sad knowing that come Monday, Sept. 21, we will no longer be spending an hour with our family and friends in Springfield. I grew up watching GL with my Granny and my aunt, so GL has always been part of my family. As you said, we will all get through the loss of our beloved GL together as friends. It will just take alot of time. I am thankful for the many friends that I have made since joining this board and I hope that we can all continue to post together. Like Sandra said, we have 72 yrs. of GL. to chat about. Sandra, I'm with you. GL will always live in our hearts and as you said not CBS or P&G can ever take that away from us, nor can they ever take away the many warm loving memories that GL has given us over the years.
