Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

Something bad always happens on my Sept 18th Birthday. This year it is the end of Guiding Light, which may be worse than my birthday stroke in 2005. We are celebrating my day with a GL party. Does anyone ever remember hearing what exactly is on a Buzz Burger?

There is a thread on here with recipes, maybe someone did the Buzz Burger. I'm not sure if there is a set recipe that I have ever heard. If there is no Buzz Burger in the thread, I will be happy to create one!

Here are the Buzz Burger ingreds. 1 # ground meat, mix in a lot of yelling and screaming, add a dash of unconditional love, add a lot of heartbreak, and spice it up with some happiness. Grill, and enjoy!

Don't forget to add a little bit of curmudgeon! Yummy!

I don't know what's in the Buzz Burger but I remember an episode where Buzz said that there are no onions in it. I think Cyrus or someone ordered one and said, "with onions" and Buzz wouldn't put the onions in it because it wouldn't be a Buzz Burger.

Anyway, years ago Michael O'Leary (Rick) gave out a recipe for a Bauer Burger and I have that for you. I tried it finally this year and it was great!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

1. "Get 2 pounds of ground sirloin, then mix in some garlic, pepper, salt and 3 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce."

2. "Make a whole bunch of real thin hamburger patties."

3. "Chop up some onion and put it on top of the first patty. Then put a slice of American or mozzarella cheese on top. Then grill some mushrooms and put them on top of the cheese. Then cover the whole thing with another patty."

4. "Using a fork, work the edges of the patties until they're sutured
together. Please note my use of the medical term 'suture.' Thank you."

5. "Barbecue the double patties over a low flame. That takes a little
longer, but it's worth it. They're fabulous."

That sounds delicious. That needs to go in the GL recipe thread on this board! A true bauer Burger is a must.

My take on a Buzz Burger recipe:Greek burgers

pound of ground round

pound of ground veal

half a cup breadcrumbs

one egg

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon crushed rosemary

1 teaspoon basil

1/2 teaspoon oregano

teaspoon grated fresh nutmeg

salt and pepper to taste

feta cheese (sliced)

mix ingredients together and form burgers around feta cheese.Grill.Serve on a bulkie roll with onion,cucumber and cucumber dressing.


Serve with a generous side of tough love,understanding and close knit family.Be sure to garnish with vocal fights and lots of hugs.

Oh I love the idea of the feta cheese in the middle. Can you put this on the GL recipe thread also?

Wonder if Digger is going to check back on this thread and see about her Buzz burgers!! It sat here a while before I answered the first time, hope she did not give up, you guys are doing a grand job on it....certainly making me hungry!!
