This week and next week and those after will be difficult for all of us. But we all ROCK!! We have been a part of one of the best(I think the best) shows on t.v. We were there when it was top in the ratings and we will be there at it ending. I started watching GL as a child, not because my mom watched, it, in fact, I got her to watch it. But I just fell in love with the show. As I was in high school and college, my friends were all into General Hospital and AMC. GH was on during GL and alway on at the student union--well, except for a group in this one corner--we watched GL. I feel, in a small way, that I am part of history. I felt so much pride going when my dad let me drive into town to see the movie Footloose. The pride was in seeing Tim aka Kevin Bacon, in the lead role. The GL staff--past and present ROCK too!! I do have a heavy feeling this week knowing GL is almost to an end, I also know I was part of something big. I was watching cable news and they were talking about how the evening news is no longer what it used to be. In the old days, when dad came home from work, he had to watch his news. It is no longer the power house it used to be---for many reasons. T.V. has changed. I hope that at some point, GL will make it's way back. I found this quote I want to share: "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." by Dr. Seuss |
