Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

We have another sad day in Springfield today. First, the Coopers have a visit from the bank stating they are going to forclose the business in 30 days. Oops, someone forgot to tell them we only have about 11 days left for everyone. Cyrus, gets Blake and Ashley to finish Coop's book.
They write all day, and finish the book in time to get the advance. This saves the day for the Cooper family. Coop and Jenna save the day for them. Happy days in store for the them. Natalia asks O to come and be with her for the sonogram. She tells her "No" She reminds Frank to be there too. There is a lot of discusssion about O's future with Nat. Doris even gets into the act today. She tells her to take risk! Now for the big story. When James reads that there might be a cure for Phillip, he confronts Ed and asks why can't he be the donor and save Phillips life. Phillip tells him and Lizzie No! James goes to Rick and tells him he wants to be tested, and he IS a match.He wants to let Phillip know he truly loves him. Guess, who is another match, yep, Alan could be the one to save Phillip's life. Ed tells him of the risks, and this gives Alan some food for thought. Phillip finds out James took the test and shouts him down. Rick tells Phillip why James wanted to help his father. This is an emotional scene. This is a very good episode. Where were the writers two years ago? Another sad part is when he tells Olivia and Emma. Get out those Kleenex again.

I was glad to see James finally act like a man. He's been such a selfish little wuss, I've found him hard to like until today.

It was wonderful to see James act like a man by admiting that he loves his father and was willing to die for him!!!

I felt so sad for little Emma today how sad to find out your daddy is going to die. she is such a great little actress and beautiful to boot!!

The whole Otaila s/l needs to get on with it. I'm totally loosing interest in it. I would rather see them together for a couple of weeks than to not see it until the last air date.

over all a great epi today I did have some tears coming to surface but managed to keep them back unlike yesterday...~

If I'm not mistaken, isn't James the son of that character James LeMay who popped up years ago who Beth married?

Thanks for recap merrymary.So glad to hear James finally admitted he cares about his Dad.It is about time.I was beginning to lose hope that he would come around.I'm glad to hear that Company was saved too.

Loved the Cyrus/Cooper clan stuff. I love that Cyrus wanted to save the Cooper clan and Company just like Buzz saved his life. He really is becoming a member of the family. Cool that it was Coop's book about his mother that saved the family. I really enjoyed the scenes. Cheesy but still really good.

Loved Alan talking with Natalia today. I wonder if the courage Rafe is showing joining the military will give Alan the gumption to be the donor even though the odds are not good for him??? I could see Alan finally doing that. I wonder if that would finally be the redemption of Alan that they have been talking about.

Great stuff with James. I've been impressed with Zach Conroy since he got to the show. Loved that James finally stopped acting like a smart a.. today and finally admitted that he loves his dad.

I really wish that Olivia would stop being a hard a.. with Nat. Nat knows that she screwed up. I really hope that these two make it up soon. I hope Doris having the courage to come out of the closet tomorrow will give Olivia the courage to take Nat back.

I enjoyed today's show overall.

Great show today.James loves him Father,and I am glad he proved it to Phillip.The way he has been treating Phillip it has really been hurting him.Happy to see James growing up,but sooooooooo sad its almost over Heck even Alan is changing.

Thanks again for the preview of today's episode of GL. I am so glad that you post them. It kinda helps me prepare, you know make sure that I have plenty of kleenex. I am so glad to see Alan, Phillip, and James getting along somewhat. Without comparing GL to Dallas, I would have loved to have seen these 3 Spaulding men run the Spaulding Company together. If only our GL wasn't ending, we could have some great SL.
